    Just rang Lloyds and after waiting on hold for 40 mins, I spoke to [Individual's name removed by MSE Forum Team]. He said that they have such a back log that they have no idea when payments will be made, and that some claims take longer than others. I asked him why he didn't know as there must be lots of people in the same situation ringing up. He didn't know the answer to this either. I asked him how long the back log was - he doesn't know, and I asked why do you calculate interest up until a certain date and not enusre payment was made at that time? He said that he didn't know but that the bank was not obliged to pay interest (bull)! and that it should be seen as a bonus! But he still didn't know..... well that was a waste of 45 minutes of my life!
  • tried several times to get through on the phone today
    gave up as they are never any help anyway
    im convinced they are just stalling and holding onto payments heaven knows when they are going to start paying out again
  • Well i will be ringing again today. Does any one know if from getting the offer letter it's 28 working days or just 28 days please? They keep throwing that at me so i just need the help from you guys please.
  • Just posted this on the "Claims successes" board and thought, as it was to do with Lloyds TSB, I'd share the joy.

    :D

    Well, after they "lost" my first set of claim documents, posted early June, I eventually emailed Lloyds TSB to find out what was going on. Amazingly, I received an email response a week later, asking me to send digital copies of all my claim forms/FOS questionnaires and someone would look into the case straight away.

    That was on 18th November. I fully expected, because my new claim would then run over the festive period, that I would not hear anything for months and months let alone receive an offer on what I thought was a weak case.

    Well, you can imagine my relief and joy at lunchtime today when I popped home and found a letter waiting for me from Lloyds TSB. Less than 9 weeks after my (second) claim attempt I have been offered what I believe to be full repayment of PPI.

    Stretching back over four loans, to 2004, they have calculated what PPI was paid + 8% interest on each amount AND excess loan premium + interest (calculated on 3 of the 4 loans) that I took out each time I "reworked" an existing loan.

    Grand total......drum roll please.....£2900!! :j:beer::money:
    I am over the moon! I honestly thought I wouldn't receive anything, but, thanks to this brilliant site and the people on it, I've had the best financial start to my new year.

    Thank you everyone I may have spoken to. To those still thinking about claiming, or waiting to hear from your bank, GOOD LUCK!

    Should be 28 days
  • Hot of the phone to LTSB.

    Disaster - so following on from email confirming payment by 13th - there is a letter on my account today that is informing me that there was an error processing my BACs payment. How lame is that! The worst thing is that they have now sent my PPI claim for a 3rd interest recalculation - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The laughable thing is that they have said that they expect payment to my account in 1 week .... yeah right! I've now been stuck back to the end of the queue of recalculation. LTSB should be ashamed of their performance. Who's ever heard of a BACs error by their own bank?

    SODS the lot of them!
