I remember a case in the newspaper where a person obtained a court order as the bank owed him overpayments to his mortage. He hired a van and went to his local branch as soon as they opened up. He asked for the manager and gave them the court order for the monies that were owed to him, if they did not make payment he was going to seize their computers and office equipment.....I believe he got the court order due to the bank stalling to make payment/and him making numerous attempts to recover the monies etc.

The press turned up and the well know bank soon signed a cheque for over £15,000...

    It;s a good effort!

Would it be inadvisable to open a court summons through moneyclaim? I've emailed, written to, phoned and visited my branch for the last 4 months - previous to that the complaint has been open for 14 months. I don't see how they could have a defence, they owe me the money?

I cannot believe Ali & Stuart that you have still not received your money yet as I know your timescales were around the same as mine:(.

I am sure you have probably said in past posts, but have you tired your MP and constantly barrage CEO and PPI director with e-mails, don't know if it helped my cause but at least I evenutally got paid.

I havent yet no but seriously thinking about it
  • My claim sounds very much the same as most of the posts on here.

Recieved my letter on 22/11/11 stating how much I was going to be paid etc and I am still waiting. I have also phoned them many times and have been told the same thing each time, re the backlog. Apparently my case was passed to accounts team, for it is at the final stage, on the 30/12/11 but still no money !!

I have written a letter today to try and push them along quicker. It is so annoying just waiting each day to see if the money is in the bank. :(
  • I thought i would follow up with my call today, my interest has been calculated to tomorrow (18th Jan) so out of curiosity i thought i would call them and ask when i am likely to be paid.

I was advised by the very nice lady on the phone that my claim had been passed to the payments team on the 15th (didn't know they worked Sundays) and that she couldn't/wouldn't give any further info other than that.

So i will leave it a week and will see where we are at, surely it won't be in my bank tomorrow which in my opinion it should be there before the cut off date for calculated interest?

Wondering how many people have actually been paid this year, as there aren't as many posts on here with updates.....i do know that everyone has seriously had enough now tho :(

No money again today! Made yet another phone call, apparently the chief exec is dealing with my claim! asked how long that will take and guess what they said........ we have no time scales! If they added a pound to my claim every time someone said that to me, I'd be a very rich woman!! Anyway, I have emailed my local MP today and sent tsb another email telling them this and basically telling them what a waste of time they are! Dont think this will make any difference at all! At the end of my tether now!
