  • Hot of the phone to LTSB.

Disaster - so following on from email confirming payment by 13th - there is a letter on my account today that is informing me that there was an error processing my BACs payment. How lame is that! The worst thing is that they have now sent my PPI claim for a 3rd interest recalculation - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The laughable thing is that they have said that they expect payment to my account in 1 week .... yeah right! I've now been stuck back to the end of the queue of recalculation. LTSB should be ashamed of their performance. Who's ever heard of a BACs error by their own bank?

    SODS the lot of them!

108 days since the offer letter (i know others are waiting longer) - this is giving me an ulcer - just their shear uselessness!

  • Hi Everyone

After 7 months since originally putting my claim in and practically no correspondance or updates, I received a letter bascially apologising for the delay etc etc etc and offering me an additional interest amount of £15.72. Now this is fine and not a problem, but this is what the final paragraph in the letter actually said.....

"In view of the delays you have experienced in processing your refund, we have added an additional interest payment to ensure your final refund amount reflects the date in which you will receive your payment"

So, I rang customer care and asked them, well when can I expect payment, again they said they dont have any times scales. I explained the letter states the amount being paid has been calculated to the payment date etc etc etc, but they have no idea!! I said but you have calculated an interest amount to a payment date, or how else can you work out how much interest is owed????? Anyway, I asked to speak to the Head of PPI who wrote me this letter............ Big mistake, they dont know who this person is and they have no record of the letter that was dated 12th Jan.

Im sorry, but how can this be... it is a joke. They have calculated an interest amount to the date of my payment, so someone must know when this will be.............

When you have had 3 additional interest calculation letters and dates you might be lucky!

I was calculated to 9 October, 9 November,6 December, 17 January and guess what!! Still waiting....

I am sick to the back teeth with it all phoning and emailing is a complete waste of time I will be lucky if I see a penny of my money by august 2012 .................. Lloyds tsb are a bunch of w*****s and I don't swear!!!!! I have banked with them for over 20 years but they are so losing my business once I get my money!

  • My husband received a letter beginning of September 2011 to state that his claim for PPI was upheld (the standard letter everyone received). Called up to accept offer and told to do nothing and wait for payment which would be made within weeks.
Before the 8th October he called a couple of times as we were due to go on our honeymoon but was informed that there was no date of when payment was to be made.
He then called on the 17th October and was informed by a gentleman that a payment showing on the system should have infact gone in on the 7th October. He couldn't understand why it hadn't gone in. He did mention that there was a minor back log and to keep checking bank account as payment could go in at anytime.
Up to the beginning of November he made a few more calls and was informed at the beginning of November that a recalculations letter would be received within a few days following my call which would show recalculation of interest up until the end of November and payment would be received within a couple of weeks from receiving the letter.
Low and behold the letter was never received !!!!
He called several times to see where the recalculations letter was. On the 5th December when he yet again called for answers. Informed that offer amount was re-calculated and the new amount would be over £3k less that was to be sent to him
What a suprise no one could give explain such a drop in the amount. On the 6th December he spoke to yet again to someone in the PPI department who informed him that the £7311 was probably incorrect and that it would be investigated.
On the 15th December he called again and someone told him that a manager would email the refunds department on my husbands behalf.
Amazingly he received a re-calculations letter on the 16th December when he called the office for an explanation he was informed that the second amount was most likely wrong and that he would likely get the amount from the original offer.
On the 17th he called to enquire about the email and was told it takes around 3-4 working days for a response.
My husband called when advised and then told that he was mis-informed and that it never takes 3-4 working days more like 3-4 weeks.
On Tuesday 22nd December he was informed still no response and to give it another couple of days.
The 28th December STILL no explanation as to why the amount had dropped by over £3500. He demanded to speak to a manager and LOW AND BEHOLD even the manager couldn't explain.
My husband kindly explained that he was down right disgusted by the way he has been treated and that disgusted with the service received.
Yet again was told the member of staff would look into this straight away.
30th December shock horror a cheque was issued even though original payment method was via bacs but as usual no update on how much the cheque was for and that it hasn't been dispatched .
4/1/12 just to see if a little bit of dignity could be upheld by Lloyds and surprise surprise NO UPDATE.

Amazingly due to a very stubborn email from my husband he received an email from the scarlett pimpernal AB who stated the reasons for the drop in the amount which was that we had gone through a third party to claim for additional loans and they hadn't taken this amount into consideration. Oh dear oh dear not doing their homework.
They then confirmed in the same email they would honour the first payment of over £10k due to increased stress etc that this has caused. The absolutely amazing this was that this was going to transferred via Bacs into my husbands account on Friday 14th January. Erm there is no Friday 14th!!!!
Amazingly my husband called up on Friday 13th due to no payment in his account. Low and behold this payment will go in on Monday because of the confusion over dates and that Saturday is 14th it will delay the payment he was informed.
So Monday turned up and NO PAYMENT. Yet again another call which he was now told it could take up to 7 working days for a Bacs transfer to take place and if not in bank by Thursday to call back up.Although I myself have called up Bacs organisation and they confirmed that a Bacs payment takes no longer than 3 working days. He did speak to a colleague of AB. Oh and also the elusive payment that was processed to go in for Friday 14th, she couldn't actually see on her system when payment was actually processed. Also that because it is going from Lloyds bank to a Lloyds bank account that it can be done via an internal transfer and not via bacs.
So Wednesday my husband called up demanding to speak to a manager and demaded that AB or her colleague contact him. No phone call made back to my husband.
So now today has turned up the 7th working day and no money.
He has called and awaiting a call back but probably wont get one.
The simple fact is I the wife lost my job last Friday 13th (of all days) and my husband is down to 4 days and the simple fact is this money would have been lovely to put to oneside but now we need this to live on.
We have contacted the Financial Ombudsmen and all the other organisations and basically Lloyds have us all by the *****.
Oh I also forgot they have had this claim in since November 2010.
This bank is putting us into financial hardship and they actually don't care.
