not sure, I think it might have been BACs it isn't clear from my statement online! As we were all around the same timescales hopefully you should get yours soon.:D
  • Looking at what others have said I think I've been partially lucky with Lloyds. I say partially because I have received the majority of my PPI back (I first contacted them in May and chased this up in September. Got a letter in October saying they would pay and received money in back a few days before Christmas). However, they have returned the money I have paid, but have not paid the compensation interest promised. Aparently this comes from a different part of the bank. The telephone call I just made was simply that they had no idea when it would be paid, no one in the bank would know when it would be paid and that the delay is down to a huge shortage of staff to deal with the number of claims being handled.

What doesn't help is that you have to ring and chase them to find out as they did not send any notification when the part payment was made, so it will be guess work and waiting for statements (not an online account) to find out when payment is made....groan...
  • looking at ali.jones post - "extra money you wouldn't have had" - isn't that what lloyds have got through mis-selling? Hope you put them right on that score!
  • Dont worry i did
They seem to think they are doing us a favour
Funny how quickly they.forget they were the ones in the wrong

Never had an offer untill today (8 months later).

Thank you for your recent communication addressed to Mr Tookey.

It is very important to us to ensure that our customers receive competent yet helpful and friendly advice, during any business dealings they may have with us and I am sorry to hear that you have had cause to voice your concerns with the Business.

Please accept my most sincere apology for the delay you have endured whilst waiting for your refund of Payment Protection Insurance.

I have arranged with my refund team to calculate your refund as a matter of urgency. Once I have the figures I shall arrange for written confirmation to be sent to you. I shall then be in a position to raise a payment direct to your Lloyds TSB bank account.

Please accept my most sincere apology that a letter dated 22 August 2011 was sent to an incorrect address. I have given feedback to the relevant department involved. I understand that this has caused you to feel anxious and can confirm your bank details were not disclosed in the letter.

    Yours sincerely

I then rang the ppi claims center and spoke to an adviser whom has informed me that the letter with my offer has been sent... Wooo hooo.

Guess there is just another few months wait till they pay me then :(

For all those whom like myself have been waiting months.... keep pushing them, i sent emails, letters (registered delivery) and made lots of phone calls. Also went through the ombusman so either the CEO got fed up of me or maybe its my turn...finally. Was very happy with the final figure :)

I made my initial claim in early June 2011, and received my offer letters around the 22nd September. After I called the customer care line every week then every two weeks (as instructed by them) and sending complaint emails to various people in Lloyds, I received a PPI refund on my current loan on the 12th December. I haven't had any further refunds for my other old loans yet. I called them recently to be told they were working on my old loans and that I would have to be patient. I know I should be grateful for what I have received so far, but I cannot help thinking they are going to take even longer giving me the remainder of my PPI payments.

It's a neverending story with LloydsTSB. They have paid me my PPI amount twice and demanding a cheque. I don't have a cheque, so they told me I have to go with the letter to my branch and they will make the payment. It's just so much hassle with them. Why can't they just give me an account and sort code so I can transfer the money?
Also had a call this morning from Lloyds about investing my money. Told her she can stick it! I won't be leaving my money with a bank who firstly delays payment of money they owe me and secondly make several overpayments to various people.

Heh, when we took the cheque into the bank because it was "so large" only the manager could cash it (ie they wanted a better salesman), he offered us all kinds of !!!! - we told him we were paying off some stuff and closing the account - he wasn't too impressed but he accepted this and said he would cash the cheque asap... One hour later, no money in account - rang up; Manager was "VERY BUSY and in AN IMPORTANT MEETING and hadn't had a chance to do it. !!!!.
