I know I am going to sound like a right bore now but, have patience!
If you're owed you WILL get it, honestly, I did. I too had given up like the rest of you still waiting. However check these things thoroughly:-

If your loan was defaulted and given to a debt collection agency, they may have already paid your refund into that account, (that's what they did with mine).

Fight for the right to have your refund paid into an account of your choosing, they have no choice but to honour your wishes! (Remember it's YOUR money NOT theirs!!!)

I think it is worth the endless phone calls, because each one is logged and the more you press, the more it irritates them!!

I did send some e-mails, but they are reluctant to reply, don't know if they made any difference, probably because in their eyes they had already paid me!

Here is copy of one I sent, maybe it worked:-

    Dear Mr. H*****t.

Just thought you might be interested in what some people are thinking.

The sooner people realize that there is no system in place, and that there are no spreadsheets, and that there is no pecking order when it comes to processing payments, the better everyone will be.

Its the giving of false hope that is so odious about LTSB's actions, and its that that has caused so much resentment and ill-feeling. The whole 'cheque is in the post' routine is grubby and negligent at best, and devious, manipulative and fraudulent at its worst.

The best way of exposing this is through the press, especially when LTSB has adopted such a 'couldn't care less' approach to remedying these complaints to its customers. Maybe if its potential big important commercial clients see that they couldn't run a bath never mind a bank, they might get their act together over us small unimportant individuals...

Good luck to you all. Keep the faith!!:):):)
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life. ;)
  • Trying to keep the faith
But still nothing for me today
  • Me neither !!!!!!! My faith in Lloyds TSB went out the window months ago!!!!, can't wait to get my money and change banks ASAP!!!!!!!
  • just had a very confusing phone call
apparently the email that was sent to the payments team on the 28th Dec was overriden by one sent on the 29th Dec which would have taken them a few days before reading, they probally havent read the first one yet, its the second email that would have escalated things.
Anyway they are looking into my claim right now and have I recieved a part payment yet? no I havent. Chances are I will recieve the interest first and the rest shortly after. Cant give any timescales but it should be imminent not weeks or months.

Why do they need to pay interest first why not all of it?
they are just making things more confusing for themselves and me

they paid us the intrest 1st in October but still waiting for over £5k.......we started out claim in Oct 2010......really fed up now, seems to be all i think about!!!! :(
  • I am now given to waking up in the middle of the night and logging onto my current account, just in case!! Sad or what...Thats what Lloyds have reduced me to.

Latest is a letter from Ms B dated 19 December apologising (again) and promising payment within a few days. What is the official interpretation of a 'few days':mad::mad:

Trying to keep calm, it isnt doing my bp any good.

Osario is back on Monday, should we all email him welcoming him back and asking if his stress levels will allow him to sort out this mess:D:D

like I said before I think they are stalling until the next batch of payments are to go out
My bank manager told me in Nov they allocate a certain amount at a time
Ive even been told on the phone the they pay out in batches
they just dont want too much money going out at once
just how much interest are they earning off our money?

I really don't understand it. I agree with you though that I too think they have a set number to pay out each day/week/month. Goodness knows when it will be our turn. I don't get why they only pay the interest first, do they think that will keep us quiet? Those of us waiting longest - think again LTSB.

I also think now that maybe the letter, e-mails & calls could have slowed it down, it feels like when you speak to them now there is a element of not him/her again, you can hear it in their voice. The Marksman hinted at this some time back in this thread before he mysteriously disappeared from the forum, I wonder if he ever got his money?:(
  • paying interest first makes no sense to me either if they think £430 will keep me happy when then owe £4000 they got another thing coming
  • Have you ever noticed when you go to log into your LloydsTSB online account it says "payments within 2 hours" .... It's a joke! LTSB you are a joke!
