  • The guy on the phone says it was authorised for CHAPS payment on the 29th ... maybe he meant sent for payment authorisation. So another 10 days probably.

What I don't get is that when say they cannot give timelines and then they have info like this (sent for CHAPS) that is reasonably good info to help deduce a payment date. I just want to make sure they really do have that info and have not given it just to end an arguement.

hard to say if you are being fobbed of
    but may be
although things do seem to be moving quicker these days
but then I am one of these possitive people
i have truely believed I will get my money any day now for 2 months
nearly 3 months since I had my first letter

chaps should be a same day payment
but if you read this thread
apparently its takes them up to 10 days to authorise this

CHAPS is same day payment. But I was told on 29th Dec that there had been a problem with CHAPS payments for two weeks and that all payments were now being paid by BACS - they just can't get their stories straight, all are just delaying tactics to get you off the phone.

I was told that my CHAPS payment had been authorised by the CEO as an "emergency payment" on 13th Dec - still waiting for payment. When I spoke with them on the 29th they said they would have to investigate IF the payment had been paid - a bank that can't check instantly if a payment has been made? - good grief. This is what prompted my very sharp mails to my MP, PPI Director, CEO and his stand in (whilst he was off sick) just in case. All of which seemed to have ignored me!

Sorry to sound like a prophet of doom but am really really fed up with them now. My last recalc letter included interest up to 31st Dec!:mad::mad:
  • Hello Everyone,
I submitted a Claim to lloyds for misold loan insurance back in May of last year. In August i received a letter to say my claim had been accepted and I would be paid. Despited hundreds of phone calls, ive still not received any money or other letters! I ring them at least four times a week for them to say its still been calculated by the payments team, we've escalated it to our team manager etc to again hear nothing. I dont know what else to do, i've been waiting 5 months for a calculation. I know im not the only one but 5 months is a bit extreme I think. Any advice anyone?
    Thank You,
    Nicola

Whilst I was typing the above, I received a response from my MP who tells me that he received acknowledgement from CEO that "senior manager was looking into my case" Ha.

However if I have not received anything by Friday I am to let him know and he will contact LTSB directly to find out what is going on! - here's hoping!:T

You haven't even received your figures?
  • No they say the figures have not been produced as they are still constantly recaculating! I ring everyday they say the figures arent on their system etc, then they say ill receive payment before the letter etc

Oh my goodness, this is even worse than my scenario. How could you be paid before you have even seen the figures, you may not agree with them. your claim dates are very similar to mine and a number of others on this thread that have been waiting a long time for payment but at least got our figures shortly after the letter upholding the claim.

    My timescales:
    Claim put in end April
    Upheld 22nd August
    First calculation 8th September
    Recalculation 5th Dec
  • They say they sent a letter tp my previous address on the 22nd August but i never heard anything again! Still being calculated., Dont know what to do, id at least like to know a figure.

If it has been calculated (if a letter was sent to you with the figures on 22nd Aug it must have been) then they should be able to give you a figure over the phone, they did with me on my recalc figure. Have you asked to speak with a member of the management team. They may tell you no but you can because I have! Worth a try but you do have to be very firm
