Just called again and the lady told me that a BACS payment has been done on 20th when I was previously told a different information. BACS payment takes up to 5 days. Another lie to fob me off before Christmas? We shall see. I told her that i will make a complain to the CEO again if I don't have the money next week.

I have e-mailed the ceo 5 times now including just now!!!
  • nothing for me I don't care any more, wish I had never started my claim:mad:
  • I haven't been on a while so congratulations to all who have been successful in the last month or so!

I was claiming against Lloyds for a loan and a credit card - first complained in May, got my offer letters in September and I received my payment for the loan part at the beginning of November... Was such a nice feeling being able to pay off my credit card and then close the card account!

The payment for the credit card PPI however is STILL pending!! 3 months waiting on payment since I received my offer letter - it's not a large amount, in fact its 1 fifth of the amount I got back from my loan amount yet it's taking them bloody ages! I've since sent 5 emails to customer services and ceo etc with no reply...

I rang them this morning, got through pretty quickly which was a miracle and the lady told me
    A. a letter was sent out on the 20th Dec to tell me that it's still being dealt with and apologies for the delay
    B. she says it has been handed to the refunds team but no indication it's been sent for payment yet
    C. she can't see me getting the money this side of Christmas
    D. Interest will be added on to the end of December and
    E. Sorry

Thanks a bunch. I don't desperatly need it right this second but that's not the point, 3 months is not good enough and only now they waste of paper letter to say it's still being "looked at"
Anyways, 3rd of January they will be getting a snotty phone call... I'll be back in the office so i'll be in a post holiday grump and wanting to give someone grief :D

Has anyone else been waiting this long?

    Was that with with calculations?

    Lloyds are a blimmin' joke...
  • Just read my letter again.
Interest is paid until 6/1/12 so i guess i'll have to wait until after then,
Some folk on here have had a torrid time so, i aint complaining :(

Yes,with calculations.I also recieved another offer letter last week.
  • Well nothing again today so made usual phone call. Got straight through (as I did when I called last Friday) this time very pleasant (seemingly helpful) young lady. Asked why if payment had been authorised by CEO office on 13th Dec (which I had been told last week) she checked and said this was the case and that they had a copy of a letter from my MP hence the "emergency payment instruction" on 13th. she could not understand why I had not received the payment and went off to speak to a "senior manager". Well here goes the excuse - it can take from 7-10 working days once "authorisation" has been received by the refund team then they will process this. This means middle next week! Hardly emergency payout I remarked, it is ridiculous that it takes over a week for someone to read an e-mail and press a button!

She wrote an e-mail (which she read out to me) which she was sending to the "senior manager" who would then make sure the payment was made - due by CHAPS which is viturally instant payment (i.e. within 2 hours). My recalc letter (dated 5th Dec) had interest calculated until 30th Dec (which shock horror is next week!) and apparently they were originally aiming to get payment to me by then - looks like they could be sticking to that despite instruction from CEO for emergency payment.

It seems to me as though letters and e-mails are in fact slowing down the process as it then goes via a number of people before it reaches the refund team. Obviously CEO in business doesn't carry much clout if I am to believe that he instructed emergency payment to be made on 13th!.

Don't think I will bother to ring again, just isn't worth the hassle and stress it causes.

Hope you all get your money soon and have a Merry Christmas.
  • I called yesteday to be told that they where ahving problems recalculating my loan. No explination why, but it will definatly be in my bank by the end of the first week in Jan.

How can a bank have problems calculating, very worried now. Unless it is in my favour.
