No refund here yet =( The worst thing is they said had I not changed my payment choice (don't trust the "cheques in the post" line), they reckon I'd have my money and it's apparently MY fault that the money isn't here yet.SPC = £15.54 #1413
£2 challenge = £22

Nutty - I would bang my head if I were you - loudly and thuddingly!!
You're not, I am also quite peeved at how "your name is on a spreadsheet" is supposed to answer our questions? How does it get me the money I was supposed to have been awarded 6 weeks ago (according to Lloyds)? How is it supposed to get us our money? How does it tell us when we are meant to get our money so we have something to say when one finally plucks up the courage to answer the phone? Considering my outstanding loan amount has been reduced, and cheques were supposed to be sent out upon it's reduction, how does it explain why one process was carried out, and not the other?!?
Because I can tell you this, my mum's landlord, her creditors and the council tax people cannot accept "my name is on a spreadsheet" as a yardstick for payment!0 -

First of all I hope everyone gets their redress very soon
Now to open a can of whoop !!! on myself!
Do not count on this money to pay other things/bills etc as this will only cause you more stress and may be get you into debt.
Wait till its in your bank (ok i can hear you all laughing now), and make other arrangements rather than counting/waiting for your due redress as im reading more and more people counting on this redress to pay off debts, which is worrying. Not going on people just trying to keep heads above water!
As to spreadsheets etc, Id say thats all bull just to get you off the phones. Told you id hit the self destruct button! go easy on the abuse ive lined myself up for.
I see it as Lloyds take 8-16 weeks to investigate your complaint and inform you of success or not, then another 8 weeks to inform you of the calculations, then 8 weeks to actually pay you. Then if you change your payment option from cheque to Bacs etc, your request puts you back at the bottom of the que and may result in a further 8 weeks wait.
I know it all must be very frustrating and stressful, but its on its way, so stay calm, be patient and manage your debt or just stick to window shopping for the time being!
and just to really put the self boot in! lol, dont spend it all! as with all lloyds redress payments you will have to arrange the payment of tax yourself on the 8% interest part as this is classed as taxable income.
Fingers crossed you all hear & have payment very soon:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

The thing is, for me, it's not MY debts I am relying on this for, I have my head well and truly above water, and when I saw the initial outcome, I saw it as a nice windfall - However, since then, my mother who has since gone into hospital, I am worrying about - she gets naff all sick pay, and I AM the "other arrangement" for her to sort out her rent and bits - but because "other arrangements" were made using Lloyds own timeframe (ie. the bull they keep spewing over the phone), naturally people are looking for payment, and as I can't give them a solid time frame anymore due to Lloyd's incompetence, my mother could face losing her home - I can't keep telling them "soon", "soon" means nothing to them!
Besides, what bloody business is it of yours on how people intend to spend their redress? People can spend it on half a ton of carrots, give it away or clear their debts with it, if they wish. What people are complaining about it the ridiculous amount of time to pay out! If I go over my overdraft to the tune of £5k, I bet you by jingo they would be looking for that back in a shorter space of time than 10 weeks!0 -

You are correct it is non of my business whatever you choose to do with your redress. But remove the redress totally and how would you be helping you mum out. I feel for you and your situation and others in the same situation, but the redress will come and yes i couldnt agree more the banks & lloyds are treating us like the ones who are in the wrong. But no-one here wants your mum to loose her house so plan around this without waiting for the banks as they are the only ones who couldnt care less about your mum or anyones situations I just wanted everyone just to stop and think if they are having a difficult time of it and plan ahead rather than sink further down!
I hope your payment is very soon!and your mums back home soon

If there was no redress, then it would be a case of arranging to pay around my payday, and do token amounts, but as I declared that I would be clearing the outstanding amounts by such and such date, and by £x, as that was the time Lloyds gave me - that offer is off the table. Naturally, Lloyds haven't paid, and I am getting a number of phonecalls, even when I have explained to them the situation, the response is always "But you have agreed to pay £X on so and so date" or "and have you been in touch with the bank about this?", I get !!!!!! all sympathy from them, I received !!!!!! all sympathy from Lloyds when I am put into an unauthorised overdraft when they accidently took 4 loan payments out in one hit on the 21/12/2008 -so Lloyds are getting that sympathy reciprocated!0 -

Im sorry to use your quote as an example but if you hadnt of been lied to by lloyds you would have made different arrangements and be in a better situation. Dont rely on these redress payments until its in your hand thats all im stating as its mis-leading people into making decisions based on having money that they dont actually have or know when they will.
I really feel for you as due to the lies you have been feed you made a decision to help your mum out and do the right thing and now find yourself being !!!! on from Lloyds. If i was CEO of lloyds id hand write your cheque and drop it off myself! because i care, but the banks dont give a poo poo!
I wish you the very best & hope a letter with cheque drops on your door mat very soon.:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Marksman, you have stuck your head above the parapet here and here comes the first load of arrows. Most of us who are waiting patiently for OUR money have been waiting a long long time. Now, for whatever political reason (it certainly isnt because the bank have put their heads down with shame and are saying sorry) they have decided to just pay everyone back with a reasonable and/or legitimate claim. We are not just hanging on to every day for a little windfall. We are all in this sorry state because of a massive cockup and the money is not theirs to fanny around with. It is OUR money. Forgive me for overracting to your posts but it would appear that you do not necessaryily need any extra money that is owed to you to a) feed yourself, b) keep yourself warm and your assumption that we are all desperate to get out 'shopping' is a gross insult. Window shopping in a supermarket is not funny. Being owed money by a bank is serious and so are their lies and promises. No wonder there are so many of us who are utterly fed up. So dont keep telling people to stop and think....0

You bet! The bank phoned me because I was £180 over my overdraft limit, and were not at all interested in LTSB Insurance being unable to pay me! She threatened me with account closure if I did not bring my a/c back into limits immediately! LTSB Insurance, LTSB High St Banking, and LTSB Loans do not work together, or know (or care) what each other is doing!
P.S. Still Waiting! Still it is only 16 months now after all!!!!!He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life.0
