I'm having the exact same problem although I'm with Barclays (sorry to hi-jack this from all you poor old Lloyds people but this is a great thread).
I'm sure the two are working as one - even their customer service phone number is very, very similar. Same old thing - confirmation on the 14th September, cheque apparently issued on the 14th November but obviously not arrived, asked for it to be paid directly into my account and still nothing.
I entered a complaint with the FOS but have got to wait 8 weeks before they can take any action, I was thinking about going to the county court but do you what? I've had enough now. They've beaten me into submission and to be honest I just can't be arsed anymore to keep phoning them and receiving the same old crap information so as far as I'm concerned they can take as long as they want - I am NOT going to get myself tied up in knots over them, I'm going to just forget about it until it arrives. I shall give them until the end of February and if I haven't received it by then then I shal call them and see what they have to say - there shouldn't be a backlog by then so it will be interesting to see what their excuse will be.
I should think that by the way things are going then their excuse will be that because the Euro is now no longer (quite possible by February) and that all UK banks as well as the world banks are screwed, then I actually now haven't got the remotest chance of getting anything back as they haven't got any money left to give back.
So I'm going to forget about it and enjoy Christmas. $od'em, they are not going to wind me up any more.0 -
I have never explicitly told them that I am a member of this forum, they challenged me once about where I got the information that people were being paid out of date order and I told them "Its all over the internet" but thats been it!0

I know for a fact Lloyds are doing what they want my collegue at work got paid on the 18/11/ 11 and offers letter dated the 22/08/11 however she did receive 2nd cal letter dated the 22/09/11 , however she did not call or email once ( closed loan ) she was not really fussed and was happy to wait ...so it seems they just pay whenever they feel!! I think they are lazy and should be paying staff overtime 2clear the backlog !!!0

Having spent 35 minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone, I spoke to someone within the Lloyds call centre.
Apparently, my recalculation letter was prepared on the 24th November but not posted until 3rd December. The lady I spoke to could not give me any figures as the letter had not been scanned onto her system. The only thing she could say was that if my letter was like a lot she had seen recently, it would say Lloyds were sorry for the delay and they were currently recalculating my repayment. Why take nearly ten days to post a letter that doesn't actually say anything.
I have accepted now that I won't see any money now until next year.
I don't think I will bother calling them again as I feel very deflated and fed up (which is probably what they want).0
