Re open loans with PPI. Interesting to read that people are being told that the delay is due to time taken to restructure loans that are open and have existing PPI, this once again is a load of tosh.

My offer letter of 9th September was followed the following week by a letter from the Loans department (same building for goodness sake i.e. Tredegar Park) saying that the PPI had been cancelled and the loan had been credited with the refund of unpaid PPI and that the term had been reduced because of this. So this was done on 16th September. I have checked with the loans department (who are much more helpful) and this is in fact the case. So Lloyds what's your excuse now cos I still haven't received my money!

No magic Monday for me, again:mad::mad::mad::mad:
  • Heres an odd one .... or maybe not so for you guys n gals on here. I sent the questionairre off to Lloyds re:4 loans 3, 5 8 & 12k ive had over the years. All closed loans and I had no account numbers at all. On saturday I received a reply from them saying thankyou for contacting us with your complaint, unfortunately there was no ppi added to the loan with the account number you provided us with, we therefore cannot take your complaint any further! 1) I enquired about 4 loans not 1 and 2) I never provided them with any account number as I do not have them! The mind boggles ..... What do I send them now ...?!

I had the same letter, as my partner had 3 loans, 2 had ppi and one didnt, check the loan number on the letter, we got 3 letters in total, one for each loan - with some luck you might get another 3 letters in the post!
  • also (cant believe I havnt said this first so sorry) when I used to work for RBS ALWAYS ASK FOR COPY OF ORIGINAL CREDIT AGREEMENT!!!!! if they dont have it then you can fight to have it written off!!! If you are not usre of previous loans and loan numbers call them and they KNOW! then ask for original credit agreement - lloyds actually managed to send that out really fast!
  • what I meant to add is that back in the RBS days - I witnessed many people current loans being written off as sloppy branch staff didnt keep the paperwork or it got "lost" its worth a try

  • its good to have a copy of the original agreement as on my partners the "choose ppi" box was automatically ticked without even giving him the option to choose!
  • All my loans were paid off lol, I think if i haven't received anything by the end of the week ill send them a small letter telling them I provided no account numbers and I refer to 4 loans not the one, see where that gets me!

They are cheeky chancers, you might have to call and ask for the loan numbers and then send it in again! hopefully you had someone with common sense (rare find with this bank though lol) and Mr Postman will bring you 3 letters today - and any bet you will have your money quicker than us with offer letters from Aug/Sep/Oct lol
