LloydsTSB PPI Payment

I've just spoken to our account manager and he thinks the reason we were compensated so quickly is the timeline for us was 12 weeks (after 1st September) before that it was 16. Ours was dealt with quickly because it was an easy claim and just a case of yes or no and then if yes on to payment. Whether this is in fact true I can't say but, he said alot of the cases are more complicated than ours and so take longer, he had to admit there have been many mistakes made and so they've had to "shape up" in some areas, what areas these are is anyones guess!!!!0

Hi oddzies, i think you're account manager is telling porkies to be honest. Everybody that is waiting for their refunds have already got a yes. Im not having a go at you as i think its great that you have got you're refund it's just frustrating as hell that LTSB are messing people about who have waited for months and months for THEIR money.
Enjoy you're money:j.0 -
Have just been speaking with my daughter who made a claim from LTSB at the beginning of October, she had offer letter last week and guess what - she has received part payment (with promise of rest next week) today! How annoying it just gets worse.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

My timeline is:-
Complaint made= 28th June 2011
Acknowledgement letter = 3rd July 2011
Offer letter and calculations = 13th October
Told in the letter to do nothing as the refund will be sent by cheque SHORTLY.
Nothing since
Made numourous calls to Lloyds only to be given the usual fob off stories. Was told by customer relations that I should receive my refund in "in the next 2 weeks" on the 15th November. Chased them again on Tuesday only to be told that they cannot tell me anything????? This was said even though I hadn't even told them who I was or my complaint reference.
It is becoming quiet clear on this forum that the later you have complained the quicker you are getting paid. I think this is nothing short of a disgrace. All I want is a date of when I will get my refund its not a hard question to answer.
Deeply dissatisfied Lloyds soon to be ex customer.0 -

Hi
I had a series of six loans, The last was paid five years ago so it should have been so simple, no outstanding loans etc, just return PPI.
I put my complaint in 5 May 2011, upheld/offer letter 22 August.
1st calc letter 20 Sept (lost in post)
Duplicate sent 20 Oct
They THINK they issued a cheque 16 Nov :eek::eek::eek: which was not sent.
I was promised CHAPS payment 30 November. and am still waiting.
My mother has a very serious operation next week and they have promised to pay me as a matter of urgency when I spoke to them last Wednesday but it looks as though I am going to have to borrow some cash from elsewhere.0 -

Have been reading the posts on here for a while and can't believe the insensitivity of how we have been treated!
I submitted my complaint early July, had a offer letter early November, interest calculated to today,
Was hoping for settlement before Christmas as we have a daughter that may not see another one and was hoping as a family we would have made it memorable, looks like it will not happen, to say I am frustrated, angry, sad, and bitterly disappointed would be an understatement.
Loan paid off so not complicated at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope your mom is ok after her operation, hope you are able to cope!0 -

I sincerely hope you get your pay out before Christmas, I would be hopeful as your claim seems to be slightly later that the ones that seem to be in the continuous "backlog". Fingers crossed for you.:T0
