  • Hi, newbie here. Thought i'd post my experience of reclaiming PPI for Lloyds.

Lloyds credit card - Registered complaint Aug 5th
    Acknowledgment letter rec'd Aug 8th
Offer letter dated Nov 10th/rec'd Nov 12th
£1048.88 paid into account Nov 18th

    Lloyds loans x 4 - Registered complaint Aug 5th
Acknowledgment letter dated Sept 21st/rec'd to me Sept 23rd
Offer letter dated Nov 10th/rec'd Nov 17th
£8698.62 paid into account Dec 2nd

I'm still awaiting to hear on another credit card from Lloyds, which as been a bit of a battle, as each phone call has resulted in different answer. First of all they put on the letter to me they were looking into it, then I was told on the phone that this credit card number did not exist, even though I have statements, then told on another phonecall that its being looked into. The 16 weeks has now expired so am going to chase up again next week.

However, I first complained to Lloyds back in May, but when 12 weeks had passed I rang them to see what was going on, to be told that nothing had been done as there wasn't any record of me complaining. I gave the name of the guy I spoke to and funnily enough, they didn't know of anyone with that name who worked there, shocking eh!!

I'm also awaiting a response from the FOS regarding a Capital One credit card and Freemans catalogue. I approached each of them but both turned me down, so gave it to the FOS to deal with. Trouble is, it could take up to a year, but that's fine, just knowing that they're getting looked into will do me for now.

Anyway it looks like Lloyds is perhaps speeding up now, so fingers crossed for everyone who is still waiting and I hope you all get your money soon.

As I understand it if the BACS is being paid into a different bank then it can take up to four working days. If it is being paid into the same bank i.e. LTSB it should appear as a faster payment and could take up to 2 hours so in theory could be any time of day depending when they press the magic button.

Well done and congratulations on getting your payment, there is hope for us all and good luck with the house move.
The BACS system has just changed with the introduction of FASTER PAYMENTS. If we do BACS wages before lunch they arrive in end bank accounts the same day! between 2-3 they arrive the next morning although this is described as 'before close of business the following day'. Havent tried any after 3pm yet!!! Most banks are paying and receiving FPS but very unsure how Lloyds semi 'internal' BACS system is working. Have given up staying up until midnight to check now, I got first payment last week but the BIG one no sight of. Trying to be patient.

Interest calculated until the 15th November 2011, so going to put in another complaint about that and one in to FOS about the complaints procedure.

They're not speeding up, they're treating people after their c0ck up date differently to people before their c0ck up date. So yes, anyone applying now will get paid quicker. Anyone that applied yonks ago is having to fight for their money and should put in an official complaint to the Ombudsman when they finally get their money about the complaints handling procedure.

Then it should have been in your account by now as it should show same day or at very latest next day. I would call your bank to check if it is pending.

Lloyds are paying newer complainees sooner, I didn't realise this, that's disgusting. I've read quite a few posts on here and have seen that many were waiting a very long time, but I thought Lloyds had bucked up their ideas, obvs not.
Does anyone know if Watchdog have looked into or are looking in Lloyds?

Has anyone sent a written complaint to Hallet and co? Other than emails.

Ernij; watchdog aren't interested as far as we've gathered.

MSE did one story, another one is due today hopefully!

The worst thing is that (as again proved today) no-one will or can tell you anything, they just tell us not to ring back as there's nothing else than they can do or tell us. Yeah right as if we're going to let it go. The Aug/Sept period should be a P R I O R I T Y but instead we're treated as a nuisance.

NO MONEY. NO LETTER. NO HELP FROM LYING TOTAL SCUM BAGS

no, no, no ring back twice a week, I rang every tuesday and thursday... got past the monday morning bumf and before the "we can't do anything it's friday" excuses =) eventually you'll get through to an advisor that cares and pushes you forwards escalating you to managers. Best thing is not to get angry but stay calm even though it's frustrating. I was reeling off all my details after they asked me for my name before they could ask for them towards the end. So they knew I had been waiting ages. I was even reeling off my loan a/c number without looking at the paperwork in the end as I'd said it so many times eugh.
