Just got a letter saying , during a review of my case, they noticed I have not been paid yet. Well spotted Lloyds, without your help I would never have noticed that you have owed me £13,500 for over 3 months.
They are going to send me a 3rd Calcs letter. If I had £1 for every letter .......
Yet more stalling tactics from Lloyds. Pirates.
no wonder they had to be bailed out.
ps. how's my new sig? :mad:0 -
maryspecial wrote: »We got our cheque last week and got our breakdown letter this morning. It gives figure for refund of premiums, refund of interest figure and then a figure for 8% interest. The thing is we think it looks very low. I know that sounds greedy but even if they only go back 6 yrs the figure for premiums averages at £13 a month. We regularly paid 30. There was a short period where it was clear but not long enough to give an average of £13. the fact that 8% interest is only £39 would confirm that. Any ideas folks? Can we ask for any more info, like a list of preiums paid? Can i SAr for that or by time i get the info back will it be too late to go back to them??0

Laura Whateley, a money journalist at The Times, is looking for a case study of someone who has waited longer than 28 days for a PPI refund, or someone who was surprised that they were taxed on their PPI compensation... please contact her at laura.whateley@thetimes.co.uk. Ideally, she's looking for someone prepared to be photographed this week.
Many thanks,

Thanks Guy, I've emailed her my story.
This is precisely the type of exposure that is needed. Opportunities to have this mess put in the public domain by a reputable paper are not easy to come by.
I would have thought that the stories of 2 or 3 people who have been badly let down might prove tempting to the reporter, just to show a broad picture of this outrage. It might be worthwhile having others detail to hand if you manage to speak to her.
At last the little man might just have a voice after all!!!!!0
