Working day 80 since calculations letter in the fed up of waiting house, Kerri has still not received her refund and is sat contemplating the small claims court eugh.

Week 16 today, they told my MP the money was transferred on the 22nd.... where is it then?

  • Ok, so call put in. Whilst they can't tell me expected delivery dates for the promised re-calcs letter, they have given me a date by which I will be paid by.
Sound too good to be true? oh yes indeed.

This just highlights the inconsistencies, we're in a similar circumstance, although dates are earlier. We've not had a "sorry" letter and everyone we speak to refuses to give any sort of timescale/date, other than a few "any day now" they threw in for a laugh

Tell us the date, go on! Was it 01 Apr 2012 ? :rotfl:

its so frustrating for everyone who has not been paid yet!
69 working days since my original offer letter.........payment what payment?!!
i did recieve a re calc letter dated the 22nd nov, but again its an open letter with no fixed date for payment ect, they do state that if i dont accept to contact....this just leaves it wide open for LTSB to take as long as they want to pay out as they could use the excuse that they are waiting to see if i refuse it.
im getting a little worried that LTSB are running out of money and i might just be on that list of people who do not get paid.

anyone know (if any) days LTSB seem to have activity paying people?

    Thanks guys
  • Cjenko, same situation as you I am afraid! I was told
On each day I rang since the 22nd that "payment appears to go in very shortly after receiving your recalculated offer" I even pointed out that by even saying I could decline the offer indicated that there was a timescale they must follow to allow that to happen before they pay out and they denied that totally! I asked them to log on their mythical system that I accepted and wanted my payment, even asked them to email the payment team the same thing and all I am told us to check my balance every couple of days!! As if I am not spending enough on phone calls already!!!!

I might give them a call later and tell them I have written evidence of them lying to myself and my MP. How can they write to my MP to say funds have been transferred to my account on the 22nd when they haven't arrived yet and I only went on the "payment pending" spreadsheet on the 23rd?!?!

    I'd not be happy, but I'd be a lot less angry if they had just come clean and said back in September;

"There's been a delay, we made a gigantic !!!! up - sorry about that - we honestly can't tell you exactly when you will be paid but looking at the systems and processes we have you can expect to be paid by the end of December at the absolute latest we are working on the people who are overdue as our priority"

no-ones even said sorry to us about this!

    But, that would mean
    a) they would be being truthful - they're not.
    b) they have a set process and systems in place that deal with peoples cases in order - they don't, this forum is testimony to that.
    c) they're working on the people waiting the longest first - they're not. Again this forum proves that

I think it's pretty obvious they're a shambles, by outsourcing the backload to deloittes they've lost the ability for customer service advisors tell people the current status of their money (as they don't know, how ridiculous is that?).

It's also probably the case of balancing the books & sheets. That's "understandable" but why not pay those waiting the longest first !!!!!!?! Who on earth with a backlog starts working at the top? Lloyds obviously. I can't believe it when I read banks like HSBC take 6 weeks to pay from original complaint
  • Well have just got off the phone to the lovely people at Lloyds personal loan department and it appears my great PPI reclaiming journey is complete.

    Complained late May
    Upheld Letter late August
    Detailed Offer Breakdown 8 September
    Paid 9 November
    Loan recalc 23 November

This is just the loan as I have had no problem with the way my credit card claim was handled.

For 5 loans and 2 credit cards got paid about £10,500 and a further £1,500 off my remaining open loan so I am now £12,000 less in debt as all monies received have been used to clear cards and loan balances from highest APR first down to lowest.

Still owe about £5,500 to Lloyds on outstanding loan which I aim to clear in the next 12 months if not sooner.

A short word of warning to those who have an outstanding loan with no PPI on but previous refinanced loans that did, when they recalc your existing loan the balance outstanding will go down but they don't reduce your payments. This means that your loan term will be reduced and you will pay less interest over the loan period but wont help your monthly outgoings as payments stay the same.

Only way to overcome this is to take out an alternative loan and use it to pay off your existing one which will allow you to have lower monthly payments over the same period as you had intended.

Also as a footnote the people I spoke to today were, dispite being a little confused at first, very nice and gave the appearance that they knew what they were talking about which is a pleasant change from the PPI helpline I must say.

Good luck to all who are still awaiting their resolution, believe me it is a funny feeling when it comes, not quite what you would expect.

Congratulations! Your timelines seem the same as mine except for payout on 9th Nov. I haven't received anything despite being put on the mythical spreadsheet. Still there's hope.

    Well done!

Lloyds appear to have changed their 01733 telephone system. I normally enter a/c details, d.o.b, press 2 then go through to another menu because I can't remember security number, but I'm apparently going through to an advisor instead =/ lovely
