  • Hi there,

I have been watching the discussions on the site about Lloyds Tsb PPI payments for a few weeks now. I see that I am not the only one that is getting fed up & frustrated with Lloyds.

I recieved an offer letter off Lloyds on 25 August 2011, I have not yet recieved a penny of the money that they have offered. I have still got a current loan with lloyds which I was still paying PPi on, I contacted LLoyds about 12 weeks ago asking them to stop the PPI on the loan. As of yet this has not been removed. I have been a bit late making some payments on the loan in the last 12months because of being on maternity leave and money being a bit tight. I have had some arrears which I have been gradually catching up with.

I made a payment on my loan at the beginning of the month (usual monthly payment and some extra to pay off the arrears that I owe them) when i spoke to the woman (in the loan department) I told her when i make my next loan payment which is due at the beginning of December, I will clear the rest of my arrears, which is £40.00, she said this was fine. Then end of last week I had a phone call from Lloyds chasing this £40.00. How dare they! Unfortuanatly I let rip at the woman and she got the sharp end of my tongue. Its funny how they can chase me up for £40.00, but its taken them to date 92 days and still I they owe me £6829.00 !

I feel very reluctant to pay them any more money, but this would probably delay me getting my money! Just wandering who i can compalin to, I've tried sending an email on 17th November, but I have had no response from this. Has anyone got any more ideas

Do not NOT pay them as this may end up making things worse for you in the long run! its a sad tale but they rather have us all by the bullucks (unsure of the female term haha). Id just try to hang in there and let it take what time it needs too ;) a pain i know but it is coming ....... one day im sure! ;)

So who do I write to to claim it back? The address on the paperwork is for Cassidy Davies or should I use one of Lloyds main addresses??

    Thanks

  • Im new to the site! Hello everyone.
Got my offer letter a week and a half ago and completely naively thought that 'payment will be made as soon as possible' meant exactly that. Just called ten minutes ago to find out the 'average' payout time, and was told 6-8 weeks. I fear I have a long wait ahead of me. ;(

  • My god!! The "lesser-spotted updated letter" has arrived in the post! Complete with the very wintery Christmas plumage of "single White envelope for all letters" instea of seven separate envelopes!!!

New interest calculate date up to the 20th December and, lucky boy that I am, I get a whole extra £20 in interest for waiting 132 working days!!!

Worryingly they have neglected to include a revised offer for one of my loans and sent two lidentical letters for one of the others which I am sure will be a useful tactic for sending me back to the end of the queue again for some more recalculation letters to be sent out...... Also, the usual method of payment "as quickly as possible" although they do unkindly say that if they DO NOT hear from me they will consider the matter closed and then make the required payment.... Yet their PPI dis service line deny there is a set time scale in which they wait to "not hear from me" before paying me.... Surely it stands to reason that they must have a policy in place for this?? It must say somewhere "if not contacted by the customer within xxx working day process payment"?!?!!or do they honestly just hang around forms few weeks until they feel like paying up like we all think?

My opinion is that they allow a minimum of ten of their "working days" or as us normal people would call it "several months" in order for us to decline before automatically processing........ Oh well, I expect since the new interest date is 20th December I may get my money by April Fools Day.... Which would be fitting....
