Is there anyone out there who got an offer letter in August and still waiting for payment?? I just get so frustrated that people who put claims in during July and September have been paid and we put ours in December last year. We phone ever week to be told the same thing. Getting to beyond the point of frustration!!!!

  • I thought this might be worth a go. I tried the Sun (no response) and my local MP is not very good.

    Dear Prime Minister,

I write to you concerning the wholly unacceptable delay that Lloyds TSB is taking in paying compensation for mis-sold personal payment insurance.

As you will be aware, there have been a vast number of such insurance policies which have been mis-sold, and the bank has upheld a significant number of these complaints.

Despite this, payment of compensation has reached a state of apparent inertia, with some customers (myself being one of them) waiting in excess of three months for payment. I regret to say that I am still awaiting payment of nearly £7,000, despite my letter of settlement being dated 18th August 2011.

The official guidance being handed down by the FSA is that such payments should be 'prompt' and the agreement between the banks and the FOS is that this should be within 28 days. This is clearly not being adhered to and no accurate information as to when such payments will be made is forthcoming from the bank itself.

To make matters worse, I am still required to pay PPI premiums on my loan agreement until they restructure it. Since my complaint has been upheld, I have had to pay out over £615 in such premiums, all of which will have to be returned to me as and when Lloyds TSB get round to it.

Whilst I understand and acknowledge that you have much more important matters to deal with presently, I would urge you to look into this situation. There is a wall of silence, misinformation and lies being peddled by Lloyds TSB through its complaints call centre in Wales which is wholly unacceptable.

Very many people are being treated with utter contempt, and in a cruel and dishonest fashion. People are being made promises on a daily basis only to have those promises dashed time after time again. The levels of stress and anxiety that is being caused to these people is palpable from any number of the the forums on display at the HYPERLINK "http://moneysavingexpert.com"moneysavingexpert.com website which I would urge is looked at.

The general feeling is one of frustration and anger. The only vent for complaint is the bank itself, and it is patently clear that they are not remotely interested in what its customers have to say. To say that people don't know what to do or where to turn is an understatement.

During times when public faith in banks is at an all time low, I am disgusted by the way in which Lloyds TSB are treating me and many many others. This is of particular concern in view of the fact that a significant part of the bank is owned by the public.

It is for that reason that I take this unusual step in making a personal plea to yourself. I do not ask that you assist in my case personally as I would prefer to maintain my anonymity but I do hope that this scandal can be brought to your attention and addressed as you see appropriate.

    Yours sincerely,

WTG Max, good on you:T I have sent one to the FOS along similar lines, which was compiled by beamerguy and they have promised to take it on board. It needs everyone to do similar, lets face it what else can we do :(
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
  • Are they actually responding to emails at all anymore? I've not heard back from any emails I've sent this month
  • The bank are not responding to them, but if they try and tell you any emails will not be read then ignore them! They appear to be adding them to any other correspondence, "scanned" on to the system..... The girl
I spoke to earlier was reading one of mine out to herself while i was waiting for her to "review my notes".....

I phoned once again today after speaking to an account manager on the 14 th Nov who had promised to e-mail the payments dept to get my payment speeded up.

Was told that my payment was made on 15/16 Nov, I have a feeling that they are telling me more lies as I have checked my Lloyds account but its still not there.

Any Ideas anyone? if it has been paid surely it should show by now?

i have been toldmore or less the same payment made and new recalculations both sent on 16th although they did say it was a cheque dont believe them though
  • Whoop whoop, just had my second payment so im all settled up!

FYI, it was paid into my First Direct account that my direct debit to the loan is paid from and not my Lloyds TSB account that the first payment was made to, so keep an eye out.

Good luck to you all, i sincerely hope you get paid soon!!

Thanks to everyone for there help and guidance, it has just paid for my wedding venue!!

    Thanks
