True enough but the software I posted will catch anything else that shouldn't be there too. Ideal when you cant remember what you've installed.;)0

32 bit AVG removal tool?
http://www.avg.com/ww-en/download-tools
Many thanks to you & asininity for trying to help me with this problem but it seems that AVG products always leave traces on your system even when uninstalled.
I had to phone their customer services for help in the end, as the link sent to me by AVG didn't even work.
Luckily a spoke to a really helpful chap who came onto my system and put it right for me, but it took him 30 minutes to do so on an 0844 number...
I've now got the Kaspersky protecting my laptop. When I did a scan it found some dangerous items which I'm not too sure wether to disinfect or quarantine as McAfee never gave me those options.
The ones found were:
c\windows\system32\java.exe
c\program files\quicktime\quic...
c\program files\common files\...
c\program files\java\jare1.6.6_o...
They all show as very dangerous, but as I'm not sure what they are or what they do I'm worried about actions to take.
Any help will be very much appreciated as usual...................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................0 -

Do you know about saynoto0870.com?
Yes I'm aware of that website, but thank you for mentioning it...
Problem is I've never found another alternative to get cheaper calls to 0844 numbers.
I'm already signed up to 18185 and get mobile calls at about half the price which BT charges.................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................0 -
Well, I've just checked on the saynoto0870 website and there is definitely a geographical number shown as an alternative to the AVG 0844 number!0

Thank you again Rik, I'll do that, but do you know what the items are please?
