Yeah they're free. I run COMODO myself and I find it perfectly adequate. AVG is an antivirus veteran, and has matured a lot over the past several years. You may also want to consider installing some spyware removal software such as SpyBot or Adaware.
  • Thanks a lot, wizk 1, you're a star!

TBH the 3 you mention have all been overtaken, perhaps a case can be made for keeping SpyBot.

AVG is now bloated beyond belief, check this forum for problems and missed infections.

Most on here would recommend either Avast or Avira both FREE.

For FREE antispyware/malware either of, or both, Malwarebytes and Superantispyware.

For Superantispyware make sure you select the BLUE free download box.

    SpyBot from HERE .
    Move along, nothing to see.
  • Thank you too, spud 17.
  • I work in IT and look after Anti Virus for a blue chip company. We use Symantec, and i use at home . . . . . . .NOD32.

It is the best antivirus, i have used.

Just search in google "NOD32 awards".

I use Vipre. I know you have to pay for it but it picked up a virus that the others couldn't reach!
  • I've used Bit Defender Internet Security for over 3 years on my business laptop and I cant cant fault it at all. This years version costs around £40 but you do get what you pay for and I have never had a virus at least that I know of...
