I use:
AV7
ZoneAlarm Firewall and Internet security
Google Spyware checker
And I'm sat behind a router which disguises my IP address.
Better safe than sorry

No one programme will cover you for every possible infection. I have now had my second hard drive wiped because of a virus and I use a programme which updates daily. Luckily, I have a back up which I do on a daily basis. That is your best form of protection.0

You backup 'daily'???
Going a tad far id say but each to their own:idea:0 -
It's not going a "tad too far" if you've lost 2 hard drives, believe me!. It doesn't take long, it only updates the new files daily. Almost just lke downloading security updates!0

The router can disguise your internal IP address from the outside world
No it doesn't. The router has a real IP address and then you connect to the router with a LAN that has its' own internal IP designations that have no bearing to the internet IPs. There are probably millions of computers with the same IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.2) otherwise. Anything that's connected on the LAN therefore doesn't actually have an IP other than the router's IP from the point of view of the internet. There's no "disguising"."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
