Moggins, Sympathies with you and DD
When I was 10 I was given penicillin, and boy it didn't like me, woke up the next morning, covered in a rash, which initially meant I couldnt open my eyes, very scary. Still can break out in a rash for no real reason.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Moggins
Me thinks you are in for a bad night. Just keep an eye on her. I know you will and be alert to the faintest stir! It is so scary when they are ill. I am worse now a Granny than when my own I think. I wake at every sound, cough or an odd mumble in their sleep! I just feel so responsible!

Just saying hi.
Spent the last hour catching up on threads. You have all been busy.
Need to go to sleep now. Take care."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Poor moggins and DD, I hope she's better by the weekend.
Grannybroon I think 56 is mid 50's, in fact my DH is 60 and I still thinks he's mid 50's too! Because of the way he recovered from his opperations last year the doctors put his body age at more like late 40's than nearly 60.
You're as young as you feel!

My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Started to post this on the who's who but decided more appropriate here as I went off track.
Aw, since I last looked this afternoon - you are all are gorgeous. CC - you are beautiful.
Let's hope we don't hear from the plonker tonight I am sorry, I can't post a current picture as I know my colleagues dip in here but do not post and do not want them to hear about things I have shared with you long time ago!! I know you, as my friends, will understand. However, I have a couple of baby pics in the loft which I will look out over next couple of weeks and scan in and put up for you. If you want to see me in tears on my daughter's wedding day just over 2 years ago pm me and I will send you the link. I just don't want to go public. Hope you understand and keep it confidential.
Gosh that day was so emotional. She was just so beautiful. She came home to get married and her partner and DGS1 went to his parents. She was preggie with DGS2 and very planned but huge problems with early pregnancy bleeding. She started bleeding the day we were posting the wedding invitations and it certainly toojk away the excitement just in case we had a miscarriage to deal with. I might just say that NHS Scotland were not what we had hoped! Very lax. Alls well that ends well. However, she has had the same problem (but not so badly) with this one - she has a slight erosion of the uterus which is nothing to worry about but will have to be followed up post baby No 3. The continued sickness has been the main problem with this one. As said before - dare I hope for a DGD. No just a healthy baby! DS and partner adament no wedding and no babies so thankful for what we have. It is their decision and we will totally abide by it. I remember when we married 35 years ago getting huge hints about providing grandchildren just after the first year of marriage. It was 7 years in, totally planned and so much wanted when DS was conceived. DD followed 21 months later, also totally planned. 6 months later DH had the snips!!!!! A different mindset I think then. You married to have children was what was expected. Not us - we had very hard times hardly keeping heads above water, a year budgeting before DS came along but wouldn't change it for the world. They were so much wanted and the hardships were nothing to the good times we had (and still have!).
Once a parent, always a parent with the worries!
Lots of love

Thinking of you and DD. Glad doctor coming in - hopefully to re-assure you. Let us know how it goes but not to the detriment of leaving your daughter.
Love to you all.

Moggins - hope your daughter gets well soon. Nobody tells you before you have children about the worry...well they do but I for one under estimated how much there would be.
GrannyBroon - my mum says the worries get worse when your children grow up, they multiply when grandchildren come along.....!! And now I'm a mum I feel guilty for being such a snotty teenager for her:D
Really must go to bed - i still have to pack for visit to mums too...
night all0
