Good evening all, started snowing at 1pm this afternoon and everything looks lovely now. Blooming cold while I was out in it though.
Just bought SIL a birthday card and present and ( very happy ) a breadmaker for £10. from a CS. The first loaf looks and smells lovely, haven't tried it yet though.
Anyway, there's £2.62 in change heading for the pot tonight.

Keep warm everybody. Hugs to all.

  • Got a free bluetooth headset with my new phone and sold it to my boss for a tenner. Along with a bit of roadkill, that's £10.31 in the pot!

Now that's a result! Well done! :T I just hate those bluetooth thingys...

jakes-mum I do hope Miss Lily is a bit better and that you managed to catch up on your sleep last night. I remember when my two had chicken pox ( chicken spots my daughter used to say :rotfl:) It was a nightmare. The poor things were sooo itchy and to cap it all my OH caught it too. Everyone said he'd be ok even though he'd never had it as a child but noo....he caught it so I was slapping calamine lotion on all 3 of them. I have no idea how to warm it up though, I thought the coolness of it was supposed to help, perhaps pour a little into the palm of your hand first then dab it on (not easy with a squirming child I know) I feel for you....good luck <<hugs>.

helloooo all, another bad night for us unfortunately :( though a kind poster on another thread has said calamine can actually make it worse as it dries the skin out :( didnt know that so am going to try the bicarb bath tonight and think I will battle the snow and ask the chemist for a better cream alternative. The poster did recommend lavendar oil but neither me or m mum have any an not sure id get any in our tiny town :(

Still no pennies for my pot as DH and DS nabbed all my change for milk :(

  • DD1 put 65p in the pot this morning. Was change from her lunch money on Fri.

Having a lazy day today. Got a pile of ironing to tackle later, but may only do the uniforms and my work clothes. Have managed to empty the washing basket this week hence the ironing pile. Well you can't have everything. ;)

    Have a lovely day everyone

Helloooo everyone! had bit of unexpected luck in a way yesterday... well (not so lucky) my tumble dryer belt broke so we had to get a new belt (£15!!) whilst my husband fitted it and turning the machine upside down 11p fell out !! so straight in the pot it went! Also found 4p lurking around in my car !! Whilst playing out in the snow this morning my eldest found 50p asked if he could go down the shops with it I quickly said " you don't need any sweets from the shop as you have loads left still from xmas"!!! just as quickly the 50p was gone from his hand and in the pot before he could even reply !! ha ha !! Girlies ( Millie and Henrietta) have layed 6 more BIG white eggs so there will be another £1.50 for the pot tomorrow off my friend.
    Happy potting !!

£5.67 change from BF 28th birthday. Went out in Southampton for a chinese and drinks after. There is something very satisfying about bringing change home after a night out.

I am only going out for my closest friends birthdays this year. I need to save as much as possible as quickly as possible.

I am finding going out every now and then is so much more exciting than every other weekend when DS used to go to his dads. Remaining strong with my saving, with great support from my friends :)

Reckon there must be quite a bit in my pot now!x
