60p into our pot today from down the side of the sofa! My daughter (7) has christened the pot "The Pee Jar". When I asked why she said it's where the pee's go. I still didn't get it until she said, "You know Mummy, the one pees, the two pees and the five pees" I nearly peed, I tell you. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

It's been a week since I last checked in, been so busy with things, not had much time to concentrate on finding money but today I sold some clothes on ebay, and made £38.38 not including postage, so I'm potting that amount, and if there happens to be any left from posting will add later.
I've been putting my loose change in a piggy bank all week but haven't had time to count it yet. I really need to find something sealed to use as I keep borrowing and having to replace. Reckon I should have a degree in accountancy by time I've done all the different challenges! Still not used to carrying 3 purses around, worried it might come a cropper if I lose one:eek:. I also spent using my card today in the co*p, didn't mean to so I'm shuffling money all over the place but it's worth it to see it growing.
Its funny when your young you don't pay any heed to what your oldies say, it's only now I'm taking heed of what my nana always said 'A penny in the bank is your best friend' haha.
One thing I've started doing in the last 2 weeks is checking all my SM receipts and just as well cos today I nearly got ripped off for £5.38 for a leek, 2 carrots and 2 baking spuds!!! £3.66 for leek, anyway he blamed his scales weren't working properly. I got ripped of for a lemon last week 89p instead of 33p. I just wonder how nany other times has it happened and I never knew or how many others got done today in there.0 -

The upside of not putting much in is that I'm not spending much and not withdrawing much from the bank. Some people accuse us sealed-pot types of wasting money because we must break into notes in order to save coins. I'm sure most of us on here are saving more than we would otherwise by joining this challenge!
I couldn't agree more black cat. I joined the challenge because I am finding it a struggle to save anything at all at the moment so I certainly don't break into a note unecessarily but the challenge makes me think carefully before I buy anything eg is it cheaper anywhere else? or can I save on the food bill by buying something different? It's great if I can then save a few pennies in my pot :T
Everyone on this forum has great spirit and a sense of fun. I love it :rotfl:
