    Hi Thriftkitten
I have a seperate pot for roadchange/tea room change etc, which I save over the year starting on April 1st. The money I find pays for the road tax, MoT & any remaining towards a tank of petrol for my Vespa PX 125 scooter, so effectively other people are paying to keep me on the road :T This will be my third year of doing this
    Excellent!!!

  • Hi Potters,

I hope you are all well and potting like crazy.

Have been out of commission for almost a week. Went to Budapest for some dental treatment. Now if only I could pot what I saved by having it done there I would be a very happy and somewhat rich bunny :T
The plus side is that I won't be going out shopping this weekend which means that some will go into the pot. Gums are still sore and I think I shall just put my feet up and wach crappy daytime telly.

    Have a super weekend everyone,
    Susanne

My first off my workplace change chucker. 2p in the tin :)

However. Some of the others poked their noses in! When one asked why she was giving me her change she told em. Then they came out with idea that maybe she should chuck it all in a cup and if we get to a pound then we spend it on a work lotto ticket.

  • We have a chest freezer, and i wouldn't be without it...........

So there may/has been a development on the chest freezer :D my sil was over earlier and I happened to mention that I was hoping to buy a chest freezer at some point in the future. Well she then mentioned / complained that hers was too big and a big drain on her electric. So after speaking to my DH he agreed that a swap might be a good idea. So he is going to speak with her to see if she might like to do that. If not no problem but if so great :T everyone is a winner and a MSE :D

:eek::eek: what "helpful" colleagues you have ..... Not! Hopefully they will conveniently forget about that one over the weekend ;)

So I have had a couple of NSDs and so nothing new to pot I am afraid. I have two 50p pieces in my purse that will be going in if they are still in there on Sunday. Which is unlikely as I need to buy a stamp tomorrow. My fil was over today and emptied his pockets of change into my little girls hands  lots of change for her pot :rotfl: she was overjoyed and asked me to go and get her pot :rotfl: so she has another £2.05 into her pot today. :A

22p today and now I have no money in my purse at all. But quite excited cos can't see the bottom of the pot any more :) and there's 3 notes in there :j

Lashley82 irritating of them. I wonder if your colleague will start to keep her change now everyone else wants it :rotfl:

    Keep warm everyone

Good evening all. A lovely 5p and 2 pennies roadkill today plus £1 from DH's friend who I'd picked some soup up for.
Somebody on here (sorry, can't remember who) described 5p pieces as 'annoying'! I love those coins! If you don't want them I'll gladly take them off your hands. :D I've never spent one since they came out. They've always gone straight in my 5p Pot.

    Hugs to all. Keep warm.
