After quite a hectic day with OH's father (he's almost 90 and still likes to be taken shopping and to a carvery lunch, bless him) we were in need of a drink to unwind. DH paid, which was nice, but on the way into the pub I spotted a shiny round object in the mud and knowing DH's revulsion of roadkill I resisted digging it out :( However, on the way back to the car he decided to fetch a newspaper whilst I returned to the car alone (all you potters know where I'm going with this, don't you :D ) I retraced my steps very carefully and spotted it! I dug it out with the toe of my shoe, scooped it into a tissue and stuffed it in my pocket. It's now washed and potted.. a shiny 5p roadkill. He must NEVER know :A

Have a lovely evening everyone and special <<hugs>> to alliboy03

We won't tell him if you won't!

Coffee savings plus 5p found in my sports kit drawer when tidying it last night. Trying not to mention finding things in "drawers" in the plural as people might misinterpret it...

Welcome home, hope you had a great time. And coming back to a lottery win! Your name certainly suits you.
As for DH, take him to carry all the bags home but make use of a yard or so of parcel tape. ;) It's cold enough to wrap his scarf around his face to hide the tape so you won't be charged with cruelty to husbands! :rotfl:

OH !!! Someone who thinks like me!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Took him with me in the end I wanted to go on the market for my veg. He wasn't too bad today not impressed when I decided to just have a quick look round:rotfl:but I bought him a pie and cake and that kept him happy!! I also allowed him to look at the stall with odds and ends on and he bought himself a couple of bits . He nearly had a bad turn when I wanted to look in the paint store.I got the "Why do we want to paint" "eer cos it needs decorating!!" "It was only done last year" " No! Two years ago" "Well it's too cold to do it now"" "It's a bedroom not a greenhouse" anyway I was very very kind and let him think he has won this one. Of course we all know he hasn't I just don't want it done over half term.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Came back with 4 £2 coins!!! Sometimes I can't afford to save :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all, potted £5 last night after I got part-paid for the laptop I sold. The rest went on a yoga class which is going to become my treat I think cos I had a really stressful day at work and came home in a horrid mood, then after yoga I was all serene and smiley :rotfl:

Well done to e4rub and Jess :T and welcome to all the newbies - I've only been here a month but it feels like home :)
