Evening everyone 2 X 50p's & 7 X £2 coins today for the Chicago & New York 2013 spending fund. Also 6p (so far!) tea room floor change in work and I will be potting my usual £2 when I get home later. It's bally cold here.

Everyone seems to be saving very well, so keep it up, stay safe & keep saving

Turns out that my sealed pot wasnt so sealed and a good bit of jiggling and shaking managed to net me just over £8 which bought us food when I had completely and utterly run out of money - January was a tough month!

Its a shame, but I keep reminding myself that I'm still going forward, not sliding into debt.

Today I have a bit of change and 10p roadkill to restart, so will be feeding poor empty tin tonight.

    Hello sams247
Can you do me a big favour please? Will you pop the amount you've taken out of your pot & pop it into your signature, it really does help when we do the Grand Total at the end of the challenge :D As the official counter upperrer, it's my job to count every last shiney total that gets posted ;)

Been really cold today so hardly been out have put a few pence in the pot Have really got to go shopping tomorrow been sending DH he can manage up to 4 things now :T but I really do need a proper shop. The big question is Do I take him with me (He carries the bags but moans) or do I leave him at home and go on my own no one moaning but have to carry bags!!! Decisions!! Decisions !!!

Congrats on the win :Tcouldn`t tell you the last time I won anything on the lotto. DH`s do come in handy for bag carrying duty but is it worth taking them? I`m not sure mine always manages to sneak a couple of packets of biscs in when I`m not looking (think he`s some kind of magician or spy or.... no probanly not) Tough choice:)

Welcome home, hope you had a great time. And coming back to a lottery win! Your name certainly suits you.
As for DH, take him to carry all the bags home but make use of a yard or so of parcel tape. ;) It's cold enough to wrap his scarf around his face to hide the tape so you won't be charged with cruelty to husbands! :rotfl:

  • Evening all potters, I have £1.25 to feed my terramundi pot tonight, she is getting rather a podgy tummy :-)
I also have a shiny 2 pound coin for the tin at mums.
Not sure if anyone noticed but this morning I drew back the curtains at about 06:30am and the sky was soooooo amazing, so many stars it felt like I had 3D glasses on, was really beautiful... Anyway I'm off to the land of nod as I'm starting my tea and hugs round early again tomorrow
