-4 today, I hope I find roadkill in the town centre when I go out and buy a birthday card today....you know cold hands mean money maybe dropped and my warm hands will pick it up!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

DH isn't keen on handing over his excess money from the week's budget  - he carries all our money - but I've come up with the idea that any left over money will go on either a Tesco or Sainsbury's gift card
. That way it's still there and not frittered away, but he wont feel the lack of it in his pockets
.
I managed to buy 2 money boxes in York. I paid £1.99 for each - more than I wanted to, but it was in the British Heart Foundation shop so I didn't mind too much. One is a pot Cow and the other a ginger cat. I've agreed that we won't keep too much money lying around the house - though if we go out I'm taking the sealed pots with me :rotfl:- so DH thinks I'm going to bank this money regularly.

Not wanting to boast
but my sealed pot is nearly full (should have got the big size!) .... now I have a dilemma.... do I open it? or do I leave it to November and start another one? The plan is, whatever is in it goes towards paying off the mortgage:D and I'm itching to count it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi alliboy03
I just read your post from yesterday and although I'm sure you've had a lot of replies (haven't read them yet) I'll add mine.
Firstly poor poor you, you have been through an awful lot and still manage to care for your family so think you deserve a medal!
A few of your medical conditions are well known in my family, endometriosis for one is evil, and you are so unlucky to have so much going on at once. The only thing I can suggest is to keep going to back to the doctors. I know it's hard, I seem to automatically cry the minute I start talking about myself to a dr nowadays but they have seen it all. Is there a particular dr you get on with or one who listens and seems to genuinely care? They are like gold dust but they are out there. If you know one keep going back to the same doctor, tell them what you have told us and keep pushing to get some answers. It definitely sounds like something has happened since your surgery so have you been back to your gynae or endo specialist?
The only thing you can do is keep trying but I know it's so hard when you feel bad. Is there a friend or family member you can talk to or to take you to appointments? A good gp will not mind seeing you regularly and they can do a lot to push hospitals into actually doing something.
I'm sending you lots of positive thoughts and ((hugs)), pm me if you need to and please keep us updated on your progress. :grouphug:"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

I managed £4.21 today. The most I've put in this year.
I have a few expenses this month, birthdays, catching up from christmas (still) etc, so am trying not to beat myself up too much. We are all on this planet only once.
I'm feeling proud of my paltry little savings, and am determined to meet my target, by Dec!Oh well...

Hello LCHi NU!ISIT
I can just see you doing handstands ...well trying to anyway
Believe it or not LC, I can do forward and backward rolls with the DD’s, but I’m terrified of doing a handstand , it’s why I’ve never tried a handstand push up (that’s my excuse anyway
).
Sending you big hugs alliboy03, also a PM. Take care....
The DW was sneaky last night; she managed to get away with not emptying her purse of change...mmmmm. I’ll get her next time. A lovely 20p today...

Turns out that my sealed pot wasnt so sealed and a good bit of jiggling and shaking managed to net me just over £8 which bought us food when I had completely and utterly run out of money - January was a tough month!
Its a shame, but I keep reminding myself that I'm still going forward, not sliding into debt.
Today I have a bit of change and 10p roadkill to restart, so will be feeding poor empty tin tonight.

You think to think of it as, if you didnt have your sealed pot, would you have that extra £8 in your purse for food or would you have had to loan the money?
Even if you dip into your pot every month (for essentials,) if it has saved you from loaning money it is doing its job.
Be proud you managed to save the £8And congrats on the roadkill!
Think it will just be my daily pound to pot today. Went shopping last night and felt so ill so bought nearly no food for the week OH will not be happy. Hoping to get some decluttering done tonight and ber early

Still managed to pot another 26p yesterday and will probably add another 50p today.
