I am considering "treating" myself to a chest freezer with the cash I hope to pot. Not very glamourous but needed, I only have a small under the cpunter freezer, thats now in the garage. It's jam packed, I can only fit things in there if I use something which wasn't very good the other day when i could have got 24 bread rolls for 60pso although I could probably get a cheap one, I would like a nice a+ energy one to fill up with bargains and home baking. Also in the next year or two I hope that the fruit trees in our garden will start to produce a decent amount of fruit so again I need space to put it all.
We have a chest freezer, and i wouldn't be without it...........0 -
alliboy03 and seriouslyfrugal hope you both feel better soon.Speak to you all next week.0

I've been on 1/2 prozac since my dad died in 1996. Then it all started to role down hill from there. Slowly over the years up till now I've gained 7 stone in weight, (thats very slowly since 1996).
I also had another baby in 2003 which brought my weight up to 15.7lb's.
when I reached 12.7lb's back in 2000 my old OH started to get me to sleep on the seatte. As he couldnt stand my snoring and thats when I started to feel fatigued all the time.
I'll now zip you forward to last year when I went on holiday with my best friend and we shared a room. Her sister had SLEEP APNEA as a child and she said I had the same syptoms like the heavy snoring, then I stop BREATHING.
After a few months I finally got an appointment with the sleep clinic in the hospital. After loads of checks and tests they said on average I'd had ONE HOUR SLEEP since 2000 and it was now 2011!
I now sleep with a machine and full face mask which blows constant air into my mouth.
This is to keep the airway's open in your neck while your asleep.
Sleep wise I feel much better and I put all this on here so you other ladies/gents get checked out. YOU WILL NOT KNOW YOU ARE CONSTANTLY WAKING UP!! at night as your mind will still be asleep.
Next big thing that is really crippling me is I had an full hysterctomy last August and IVE NEVER RECOVERED FROM IT. I feel like I have permanent flu.
I can bearly walk with out being in pain the doctors dont sort me out the just keep doing more blood test and urine tests and send me home with antibiotics since about christmas time.
A nurse I saw one day said she thinks I have a prolapsed bladder but Ive been waiting months and months for a hospital appointment am at my WITS END!!
None of the doctors I have seen have told me they think I have a prolasped bladder, WHAT DO i DO??
AM SEEING THE DOCTOR TOMORROW HAS ANYONE GOT ANY HINTS OR TIPS?
Other stuff thats wrong with me is I have a under-active tyroid am on 75grams a day of Tyroxine which doesnt seem to anything apart from getting rid of the burning sensation in my feet and legs.
Asthma, Eczema, Anxity,
Insomnia,serve deppression,
anemia,Arthritis,I.B.S,
fatigue,scoliosis,
fibromyalgia,water retention,
constipation,migraines,chronic pain in my back,
Brain fog and I feel sick when I wake up for about three hours.
Thats not all my syptoms but there the main things which are wrong with me.
I had a full hysterctomy because I had really chronic Endometriosis.
After the op the surgeon told me he had to take one of my overies away as it had a non cancerous syst.
So my hormones are now all over the place! (my hormone level goes up and down like a yoyo which plays merry hell with my moods):(
The operation didnt go acording to plan. I have never felt better since I had it done, am constantly needing the loo.
Apart from flushing my usless self down the toliet has anyone got any suggestions??? am pretty desprate:mad:. Best wishes:A
Hi, sorry I don't have much wisdom to give you but I will say this: your saying you have a GP appt and looking for tips, my experience is that we often know ourselves what we need, call it power of the mind or whatever, iv got neck problems just now and have had to tell the doc 'I need an x-ray', 'I need referred to' etc unless you tell them very directly what you think you might need it won't happen in my experience. If there is anything in the back of your mind you think might help then mention it to your doc dont just rely on them to have the answers.
I hope you get some relief from at least the sleeping thing, often getting your rest sorted will alleviate or at least lesson some of the other things, I know that I get tired, depressed and pain just from a lack of a good restful sleep. Anyway good luck at the docs and hear how you get on.0 -
Hi aliboy03, before I say anything else I must firstly say that we're not advised to comment on health problems as we could be giving folk the wrong advice and leave people ill-informed. Maybe in future it might be best for you to go to a health forum to seek more help.
I'm so sorry to hear of all your health problems, but I do agree with seriouslyfrugal, exercise would benefit you so very much. Not only would it help you feel so much better, it would help in gradually slimming you down so that your breathing was easier. Depression is awful as I think most of girls will know and have experienced some form or other of it at some time or another in our lives, I know I certainly have, but am much better now due to exercising outside! If you could start, then slowly build it up until you began walking as briskly as possible and releasing the endorphins into your brain which would make you feel totally different.
Do try to get out as much as possible and help yourself get your life back to being a good one to live, alibob, it is possible if you're willing to give that all important first push...and then keep going! All best wishes and {{{Hugs}}}, Sue :kisses3:

Hi all, a massive £1.12 potted today, change from shopping and penance for forgetting to make butties so I had to buy lunch.
Alliboy03 I have to agree with Sue-UU, if you can get out in the fresh air life feels so much better, and I say that as someone who's probably on ssris for another year until I'm through with the hormones. If you can do it with a friend even better
Could you try writing a list of things you want to ask/say at the docs tomorrow so you don't forget something important? Or take someone as moral support? Could you prioritise what feels worst to you? They may be able to fix one thing at a time? Also maybe you could ask for a double-length appointment? I know my surgery will do this so yours might? That way you get longer to talk and reach solutions hopefully. HTH :grouphug: and good luck
