Welcome home, hope you had a great time. And coming back to a lottery win! Your name certainly suits you.
As for DH, take him to carry all the bags home but make use of a yard or so of parcel tape. ;) It's cold enough to wrap his scarf around his face to hide the tape so you won't be charged with cruelty to husbands! :rotfl:

I have the opposite problem with my OH - he's surgically attached to his iphone. I might try parcel taping it into his pocket occasionally when I want him to answer questions, make a decision etc!

Thriftkitten you do an amazing job, never underestimate how much a carer can help people!

Update on sparky's tea room floor change, it's gone up from 6p to £3.53, I found some £1 coins lurking under the vending machines, luckily no-one spotted me.

Do you really find all this money on the tea room floor?! Do you work with really rich or careless people?!

I'm really looking forward to potting some change later today, I've got £1.10 in my wallet and OH borrowed £3.30 so when he pays it back I'll be potting a massive £4.40!! I think it's the biggest amount I've potted in one go so far :D

I'm planning to take the dog to the beach later, it's frozen outside but beautifully sunny. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

  • Hello fellow potters !!!! I have been watching this forum for a few weeks now and have tried to post before now but forgot my log in details !! (so many of them with all the different sites !) Have finally managed to remember (age you know !) anyway I want to join this fabulous forum ! Please can I have a number and someone tell me where and how to add it to my details ? I have been saving since beginning of Jan in a sealed tin, I have two wonderful girlies (chickens) and my friend buys their eggs from me and I pot that money... also have a snowman where I put all those annoying 5p's and have an old quality street tub that I save all my coppers in (have done these for a couple of years now) Anyway I am saving the monies and will be opening my pots in middle of August as I go to Disney orlando with my family on 24th. So any money I save from now until then will be for a suprise luxury signiture meal out to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday!! (Thinking maybe Sanna at Animal Kingdom) Will warn you I do waffle a bit!!!! and have loved reading all the comments on here and look forward to being part of a growing community.
  • PS : looking forward to my first roadkill..... keeping those beady eyes peeled every time I go out... my children think I'm mad !!

DH isn't keen on handing over his excess money from the week's budget  - he carries all our money - but I've come up with the idea that any left over money will go on either a Tesco or Sainsbury's gift card :D. That way it's still there and not frittered away, but he wont feel the lack of it in his pockets ;).
    That's a great idea!
