Every year some of the blokes in the office collect all the change left by other people in the snack machines change return bit and spend it on a breakfast roll at christmas. This year, they will have to share a roll cause i shall be taking it for my pot too hee hee hee
I have almost £70 in 20ps already need to buy a pot for my random change.
I have taken control of my OH finances so once i have managed to clear his overdrafts i will let him join. I have already saved him £300 off one so i am happy with myself

Morning all

I had a day off MSE yesterday and it's taken me ages to catch up. Felt extravagant yesterday as I managed to put a £1 coin in the house pot yesterday. I've got the parking space at work today so that's saved me £3 parking - so I'm going to try and put some of that in to the pot tonight. Still no roadkill for me either, I can imagine I'm going to be a real giddy kipper when I find my first.

6p roadkill in the pot. I do like walking DD to school - losing lbs and gaining £'s (look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves and all that!!)

Me and the DW laugh when we’ve found money, the DW has the eyes of an eagle (she says she has a ‘special’ technique):rotfl:. , mainly pushing me out of the way :rotfl::D . It’s money that would have been otherwise overlooked, unnoticed or spent on other [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE],[STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE], sorry , ’important’ stuff . That’s the way we’re looking at it. It definitely does help you refocus on what actually is important...

I have had to rethink my obsession with my pot after receiving a hefty vet bill for my horse. I am now only potting small change which will still be better than nothing but anything bigger is going into bank account for bill / loan repayments.

The same happened to us last year with the car and other bits breaking...but if we didn’t have the pot in the first place, we would have been scuppered. We didn’t have a lot at the end, but it was enough for a little treat at Christmas. It’s addictive, reading the posts isn’t it Lam2011?


Thanks Sue and Co., she's okay - it's the way it is, she's managing it with help now (she knows the signs now, even the oldest knows - and we have a plan of action ). Not like the start of last year and the year before, where it was like a roller coaster ride of doom :eek:, and delight . Still some people have it worse in life, so you're thankful for small mercies ...


Right, a remarkable 20p for us today...it had been hiding, but it didn’t hide well enough :dance:.
