Hiya, Newbie here - I'd like to join in if I may? We're getting married in September, so I'd like to open our pot some time in August if I'm allowed?
Do I need to log in here what I add to it and when, or can it just be a surprise?
Thanks

Evening everyone! 2 x £2 coins and some silver today, I had a quick count up & there's about £45 in my twiglets pot ( it had to be good for something, god knows why we bought twiglet's, no one in our house even likes them!) spent the last week almost trying to meal plan & well I never it seems to be working, have only spent £30 this week, which for me is a miracle! I'm not saying I won't spend more but at least its a start and hoping it will reduce my overall shopping costs each week, some of which will go into the pot of course!Mortgage Balance May 25- £9975. Planning to be paid off by Dec 25🎄0

Got home to a letter from my old power company - moved recently - refund of £181.80 :T:T:T that's going in my shiny new ISA :T:T
I'm a bit hyper tonight!
Haven't had any road kill yet but hey I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Martin has saved me so much money over the last couple of years he deserves a medal

Of course you can join us,Bellassz1 you too, GreenEcoGirl ! A very warm welcome to you.
Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.
Bellassz1, you're welcome to open your pot some time in August, all I ask is please let us know when you open it, and pop the Total on your signature. I can then add it to the yearly Grand Total in November. You don't need to keep tabs on your money, most of us prefer the surprise.
GreenEcoGirl, don't worry, we'll soon let you know, guide you too so don't worry.
To add your numbers girls, Go to "User CP" top left of green bar, then click on "Edit Signature" and add your No in the space.
Well at least you did well with the cash, supasick, but I'm so terribly sorry to hear the news about you. Having said that, with the way research goes these day we must never give up hope! It may even pay to be a guinea pig, I sincerely hope so. Meanwhile, do all you can and enjoy all you can while taking care of YOU! Very many {{{HUGS}}} and best wishes. :kisses3:
Oh, I do agree about the smell of money, mishmogs, money and newspapers make me feel dirty and as soon as the money's counted at the end of the challenge, first thing I do is scrub my hands like an operating asst!!!!
Ah...got your pot at last then, catwoman and what a sum you've already saved...so quickly!!!!!! Excellent!!!!
Just try to remember it isn't just you with the NSDs, Janey, my run of 6 began today.seriouslyfrugal wrote:Sue : what are you trying to tell us newbies about Sparky :rotfl:
Well come closer :shhh: Remember Cissie & Ada (Les Dawson & Roy Barraclough) if not Google and watch a clip on YouT*be...and then you'll get an idea of our sparky, bless him. T'wouldn't be quite so bad if he kept his teeth in, but.........! By gum, must get on.
Look like I have to see OBEM and make sure DH is here with me then! Thanks girls.
"I remember that moment like it was yesterday xx" ooooh me too, samtoby, sensational moments that always live in the heart and memory for sure.
At least you have something of beauty instead, yummy-mummy-Amy. Enjoy the memories of DH's birthday.
Well done on successfully budgeting, moomi, but how come your pot isn't sealed??????!
What a brilliant day, rosyq. I'm really delighted for you. I quite agree with a medal for Martin. :money:There's this one but the blighter won't keep still.

11p from daughter and 9p from DH (who is slightly miffed that I won't tell him where the pot is :rotfl:)
20p today and another NSD! Really pleased, makes 5 in a row which is a huge achievement for me. I've decided to count all these up at the end of the month and add in £1 for each one..................

Just looking for some advice! I have a coffee jar almost filled with coins (coppers and silver) but my bank won't change them! Any ideas where I could get them changed? Ideally I'd like to put them in a savings account (just so they are not lying around the house) but I'm not sure if the building society will accept them either. ThanksSealed pot challenge no 1521

Hi MsDaisy, is there a reason the bank won't change them? It almost sounds ridiculous if they're English.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals SizeGrand Totals of all members[/B] (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j
