    Lam2011,
The same happened to us last year with the car and other bits breaking...but if we didn’t have the pot in the first place, we would have been scuppered. We didn’t have a lot at the end, but it was enough for a little treat at Christmas. It’s addictive, reading the posts isn’t it Lam2011?

    .

Thanks Nu1isit :D Luckily I wont have to put it on the ccard but need to pay in 2 chunks which is fine with vet and like you say anything that comes out the pot will be mine and better than nothing :D I just need to channel more energy into overpaying my loan than putting money in my pot at the moment. :D

51p in change into the pot today and a lovely 6p road kill :j :j 5p of that was from the £1 shop, was at the till paying for my 75p table cloths (reduced due to no headers :D:D) and had a last sweeping look of the floor and see something shiny near the plants at the end of the queue so quickly paid and descovered a new found interest in green plants until that 5p was in my pocket :D Other 1p was in superdrug (who have their choc coins at 29p if anyones interested :rotfl:) right in the middle of the aisle :D

I love other peoples money :rotfl:

thanks for the support everyone. I'll be ok, its just abit frustrating! I was thinking of putting a target on my pot. I decided i want to use my sealed pot money to pay for a camping/horse riding holiday. There's a dressage stables in woucester that teaches classical riding. Its £45 per lesson but its fabulous! I reckon i'll need £420 to cover the lessons, the camp site and the cattery bill!
Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.

I hope it all works out for you - sounds Fab! I do dressage (at a low level) on my horses - that sounds just like a holiday I would like to go on :D

SusanneCape, use your spare coins by all means.

You're doing amazingly, crimson.addict...and just what all men need - to be taken in hand by us ladies, so to speak! ;)

Well done with saving wherever possible, clairelh, and you carry on and be as giddy a kipper if you wish when you find your first roadkill, why not.

Keep up the road searches, starnac after all, last week it paid off for us both!!! :D

Fantastic work, DorsetGirl and thanks so much for popping the banked sum on your siggy.

Thanks Sue and Co., she's okay - it's the way it is, she's managing it with help now (she knows the signs now, even the oldest knows - and we have a plan of action :D). Not like the start of last year and the year before, where it was like a roller coaster ride of doom , and delight :D. Still some people have it worse in life, so you're thankful for small mercies :)...

That's good to hear nu1isit?, and I love it when folk take such a positive look at it all, well done both of you. ;)

    Very good, alliboy.

    Well done, Crunchy Nutter.

A $1 has to be better than nowt though moneybear. :j

Not to worry, Ellie_B, so long as you're saving.

You're a jammy blighter for sure, jakes-mum, observant, but so jammy.

Little wonder at that, supasick, but then it sounds as though it's bound to be. :) Would you like me to put that target of £420 on?? All the best for reaching it as it would be a really fantastic break, deserved too, I've no doubt about that!

Great work with the trim, LC 2, so good to take a hairdresser DIL.

Nothing for me, another of those NSDs..not to worry at least it's money saved.

If you're feeling rough, sparky, remember we're thinking of you....your DW too!!! :grinheart

You're right, Hiddenidenity a few coppers is better than nowt and adds up to the pounds....eventually! :D
