Many thanks to all who have commented on my stolen eggs - much appreciated.

It certainly isn't any of the neighbours as its a very small but lovely community where we live, all are of a semi or retirement age and most are slightly potty, but we prefer to say eccentric. There's still loads of life left in us 55+ year olds. Last year when we were snowed in, with no power and the trees were down on the lane we had bar-b-ques in the snow, huge casseroles/soup for sharing cooked by those who had wood powered stoves or woodburners, the alcohol flowed and the eggs were free.

OOOooo, bbq's in the snow, and casseroles :D, I'm not 55 +, but some say I am 'touched' :rotfl: :p :rotfl:...Don't fancy some more neighbours do you zafiro1984 ? You should be careful, you might start a mass migration to your end of the world :D...
It sounds idyllic zafiro. Can I come and live in your little community? I definitely qualify on the slightly potty/eccentric front.

See it's too late, Oopalah's the same idea as me :rotfl: :D :rotfl:.

Can you imagine it? A community of MSE'rs :p...in the flesh (ssshhh LC2 and Co. I didn't mean like that, ***tut, tut, some people :D:whistle:***

Right a lovely 47p for me today, it might be lean pickings from me for the next week, so I'll be looking at the floor most days....VERY CLOSELY :D :rotfl: :D.

    Happy Potting everyone :j.

We're not doing great at this as money is so tight that we're spending the 5ps and copper cos we have to :(

Try not to worry about it. I know it's tough to remember but everyone is saving different amounts depending on their situation. When things are a bit easier you can pot a bit more, I think you'll still be surprised how much it adds up. And we're all here for support if you need it :)

    Hellooooooooooooooooo Potterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs

im just in such a good mood today :D DH just got a 12 week temp job :j :j it can include working away, but still its work so hes feeling much happier today and that depressive funk seems to have lifted just a little bit :)

We are off out today to buy him new steel toe capped shoes and some new work clothes (for some reason every pair of his work trousers have holes in a certain place  I do NOT want to know how that happened  :rotfl:) I could sew the old ones up but tbh hes been wearing them for 10 years now and I do think it will be a morale booster to start a new job in some nice clean work clothes :o His old ones have seen more mucky jobs than I care to remember and I actually cant get the dirt out now, not even on a boil wash or with those special dirt booster things

Hopefully i'll have some pennies later on but cant guarantee it because if my lovely mastercard win comes today i'll be using that instead :o

Well done to your OH! Re. work trousers: I once had to nip out of work at lunchtime to rescue my OH. He was on a scaffold plastering at a very busy garage when his trousers split :rotfl:He couldn't get down without flashing the mechanics, customers and people walking by!

I went back to work today only to be told to go home again! I didn't think I looked that bad:eek: So it's feet up again for a couple of days, but the trouble is I don't enjoy sitting around. This thread is keeping me occupied though, how am I going to find the time to read all the posts when I'm back at work?!

I have scoured the house for change already and won't be going out again now so nothing to pot today. I have got a few pounds in my wallet though which will be going in if they are still there on Friday!

Hope you all have a great day! :A

I love it, though I don't know whether I'd be a passenger or the driver :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Definately the driver Sparky, you've got to be in control of your own destiny.
We're not doing great at this as money is so tight that we're spending the 5ps and copper cos we have to :(

I'm not doing too well either, and I never seem to find any roadkill, so it's all a bit pants really, but on the plus side I do get to come here every day and have a giggle.:)

1p roadkill found on the floor of Mr T express. Unfortunately I couldn't see the additional 1p I spotted on my way in by the checkout, so I think someone nabbed him :(

and you knew it was a 'him' cos he was just laying around doing nothing?:rotfl:

Zafiro 1984, where you live sounds idyllic, and it looks like everybody on this thread wants to join you. Now if only we knew somebody who wants to be a bus driver we could all get there ;)
