  • Woo-hoo! Had a tax rebate this morning for £19.58, so banked it and put £20 in the pot as well as my usual £2. Also picked up 16p roadlkill to add in also.
    Happy potting!

Very well done your DH, LC 2!!!! :T

    WOW! Brilliant work Caz!!! :j
Thanks so much. It would be nice to save up for next Christmas with the pot, but at the moment I don't think it's going to happen.

Even if it feels that way now, BlushingRose, you never know what the future might hold and things aren't always bad for too long. Things often have a habit of picking up. So keep your pot as it is for now and if you can add to it do so, if not don't worry. Even if you're unable to save much this year, there's always next.
Keep hopeful, Rose, I will for you, in fact I think we're all doing that already. :kisses::kisses::kisses::kisses:

    Best wishes, Sue x
Keep saving as well as you're all able to, folk.

Congratulations Jakes Dad with your new job

Don't feel too down BlushingRose just pot as and when and whatever is in the pot at the end of the year will be a bonus. Just keep popping in here and enjoy the chat - Sparky and Co always seem to bring a smile to my face with all their antics. They are a real tonic.

    Take care everyone

Last year when we were snowed in, with no power and the trees were down on the lane we had bar-b-ques in the snow, huge casseroles/soup for sharing cooked by those who had wood powered stoves or woodburners, the alcohol flowed and the eggs were free.

Wow! That sounds so nice, kinda makes you want to have a power cut, but don't think my neighbours would be as wonderful as that! Saying that, my hubby is American and a true believer that the only way to cook a steak is on the BBQ grill, so I have known him to BBQ in the snow wind and rain before now!! :rotfl:
