    Now I'm officially potty...

Using my Mrs Man Utd piggy bank (hoofs crossed for Sunday)!

And I've made a start - £4.29 in copper already sat there waiting for me and £20 Christmas money I've not spent yet!

Trying to draw up a list as I am doing £2012 challenge as well. What money to put in which pot. Have come to conclusion that the Sealed Pot Challenge end result will go towards my £2012 challenge total as it's all my money and therefore should be lumped together in my opinion!

Good luck everyone and eyes down :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon everyone
Just got back to work after attending a very good friend's funeral.

I put my overcoat on which I last wore in New York 2008 and found a $20 note in the pocket, that'll come in handy in 7 weeks time when we go to New York again.

ETO Very Happy Birthday to you

Nice find on the £5er hun, good for you

Potted my usual £2, plus a £2 coin & 50p coin for the New York 2013 spending fund, also potted 8p tea room floor change

Hi RedGoose, a few years ago I set myself a news years resolution of not having my morning Starbucks (a tradition i'd been doing for the previous 2 years!) and taking in a flask with herbal tea instead, in an attempt to save money and cut down my caffeine. Every day, Monday to Friday, i'd get to work and before I did anything else i'd open the internet and transfer £2.25 to my savings account. I did that so it felt worth it every day to have sacrificed the coffee and so I didn't get complacement. I I did it for literally the entire year (from my birthday in Jan-birthday following Jan) and guess how much was in there at the end... £535!!!! :j

I thought this was really worthy of a special mention, AlternateMe, brilliant work, so why not restart it?! Or surely there are other such things you ALL could be giving up and gaining huge amounts from:question::question:! Why give it to others??!!!!

I think I'll have to forsake an nsd soon so I can get some change to go in the pot. I keep hearing sobbing and wailing coming from it, do you think the inhabitants are getting lonely?:rotfl:

It it's that bad for them, Modesty, they're definitely pining, they need pals to party with. :j:j:j

Well done sparky!!! It won't be long now either!!!

ljaneyr - thanks for the luck. Reckon i'll need it. Only one drug left that i havent been on and its a particulary nasty drug that i would much rather not take at all.
Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.
  • well done on the fiver SUE-UU!!!

I have put a total of £5 in in coins today as DD1 had a sort out of her money box so I swapped a £10 note for coins for her, it feels good putting the money in doesnt it?

I have actually swapped my pot this week to a large empty quality street jar wrapped up in a black plastic bag and sellotape. cut a hole in the top for the coins and I cant see whats in it and stuck it behind the sttee where I cant see it. Cost me nowt!
