I take my chnage to work and change it for notes. At the station I work at two or three people regularly bring me bagfulls of change and swap em.
Great idea but sadly we don't have much money in school!
I just emptied all the money from my change bottle, don't think I've done it for a few years and it took nearly 2 hours! Eventually I had £40.78 in total! £7 of this is in 10p, 20p and 50p pieces so this is going in the car to pay the evil hospital parking machine. £33.78 will go in the bank to be transferred to my reg saver, I don't have any cash bags at the moment but there is no way I'm paying 8%! That would be £2.71 of £33.78 :eek:potted 56p this morning. Will be potting more on wednesday as my hospital appt has been moved forwards. Going to mess with my meds as my mri is still showing issues.
Good luck^
I found £1.60 in my purse, 20p my OH left on the coffee table, 1p on the floor and 20p loose in the car so £2.01 to start my sealed pot. Now off to update my sig.

Well I posted a little too early, as a leaving collection came round the office and I had to put a little in that, which reduces the £4 pot down a bit
. But I did however just save over £120 on insurance for my rental property with a quick search of t'internet! :T I have decided that's not for the sealed pot though, as per my signature I have an O/D I really need to pay off (it's pure laziness that I've let it run up so much). So the sealed pot will be for money where I could have bought something small but didn't (coffee or indulgent lunches), so it changes my spending habits. Any major savings such as the insurance, or ebay income, I'm going to put in to my overdraft and get that under control.
Oh good. A plan.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Hi everyone,
I put an old coat on earlier and found 21p in the pocket with a fridge magnet (?) and a keyring (?) so I have put that in my pot!
My partner dropped £2.50 on the floor yesterday which I pounced on and declared it road kill as technically I had found it on the floor :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: unfortunately I had to give it back... <sigh>My beloved Grandmas mottos::A "A penny saved is a penny earnt"; "Nothing's a bargain unless you need it" "Mend and make do" #

I've just made a pot for my desk at work - made out of the pot that the rice I had for lunch was in (I washed it first, honest!) It's only a small pot so I will need to make a bigger on at some point, but this will do me fine. I've emptied my change from my pockets, found a few pennies in my desk drawer and have put all of these in to christen the pot - I'm off the starting grid!!0
