  • Well a whole pound into my pot today, and 45p into my virtual savings pot after nipping to tes co and finding that they have several things cheaper than as da who deliver my shop. So I managed to save 45p from my food budget and I got some more reduced Christmas cards (88p from £3.50) and some yogurts for my little girl which I had forgotten this week in my original on line shop. Now I am off to tidy my oh wardrobe, maybe ill find a couple of pence there but of course they will have to go into his pot :)

Many happy returns of the day ETO, hope you have everything you wish for.

I think I'll have to forsake an nsd soon so I can get some change to go in the pot. I keep hearing sobbing and wailing coming from it, do you think the inhabitants are getting lonely? :rotfl:

  • Good morning everyone, I'm new here and haven't received my number yet. I cleaned out the bottom of my purse and I'm happy to say I started my money pot off with $17.03. Gezzzz no wonder my purse was so heavy. I plan to add $1.00 for every nsd as a little reward 4/5 days so far and today will be a nsd. Goal $500:)

  • Hello

Can I have a number please?

Off to tesco to pick up one of the sealed pots they had on offer last week hopefully :) No good me sealing with sellotape - I know I'd crumble and open it early!

I'm going for an ambitious £500 for next Christmas as it is my turn to host, so at least 8 people to feed on the day PLUS I want to get something nice for my two boys if we get through my first year on a DMP :)

I'm giving up smoking (although that spend can't go in the pot, it's essential to balance my budget!), but I have joined the crazy clothes challenge, and have lots lined up for ebay, music magpie, etc. Also hoping to take lunches/coffee to work and save money that way! :T

As we have a couple of months coming up where we are council tax payment free, can this be added to the sealed pot also? It'll stop the temptation of spending it :o

That's perfectly OK to do, mlbarrett, why ever not!!!

    By the way ALL :j

I'm so very excited, DH & I went to town earlier. Parked the car and just behind by another car was a 'piece of paper' (I thought). Then, just in case, went a bit closer to be sure. As I approached it, even in it's crumpled state...with the colouring I could see..for all the world it looked a bit like a FIVER, but you know what it's like..you're terrified to think it really could be.......

However, YES it was a FIVER!!!!! and I'm still chuffed to bits!!!!!! :j:D:j:D:grinheart Rushed indoors after getting the bit of shopping and popped it in my Chicken pot (it has 2 screws underneath to open come November), I'm sure he clucked!!!!

Sue xxxx Thrilled silly!!!! :D Hey starnac, you must have had a day dream for me....many, many thanks!!

A very Happy Birthday today, ETO :bdaycake:
Well i have done extremely well out of this birthday lark. I have decided to pot £10 for now, debating whether to pot anymore, don't want to waste it on day to day stuff, so will give myself a couple of weeks to spend it on a treat for me, then will pot whats left.

Very wise indeed, ETO and I hope you're really enjoying your day as you deserve to.

Sue x Back in a mo to sort you out moneybear123 though I was sure I'd put you n the list.
