Every day, Monday to Friday, i'd get to work and before I did anything else i'd open the internet and transfer £2.25 to my savings account. I did that so it felt worth it every day to have sacrificed the coffee and so I didn't get complacement. I
I did it for literally the entire year (from my birthday in Jan-birthday following Jan) and guess how much was in there at the end... £535!!!! “,DH & I went to town earlier. Parked the car and just behind by another car was a 'piece of paper' (I thought). Then, just in case, went a bit closer to be sure. As I approached it, even in it's crumpled state...with the colouring I could see..for all the world it looked a bit like a FIVER, but you know what it's like..you're terrified to think it really could be.......
“However, YES it was a FIVER!!!!! and I'm still chuffed to bits!!!!!! Hello everyone
Please would you add me to the new challenge.
I have £4 to add to the pot today and hopefully this year won't have any emergencies which mean I have to open it before time! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Thank you for adding me! I am looking forward to sinking my teeth into this challenge! I have my pot (a empty share pot of mini cheddars from Christmas). I have been wanting to try my hand at decoupage, so may try to do that to my pot this weekend :-)
My new years resolution is to give up smoking, which so far so good!! I am not going to put my regular cigarette spend in the pot, but I think if I have one of those moments of weakness/temptation i am then going to put the cost of a pack of smokes in my pot. It will be an extra incentive to stay strong!!
First amount going in my pot tonight, a bit of small change from my coat pocket and the copper out of my purse. I am not going to count it as I am looking forward to the surprise when it comes to opening!V xxx

Well today was a good day for my, and DD's, pots.
I brought some sealed money tins from poundland, and then decided to open an old one i had in the bed room (had become very battered from DD throwing it on the floor).
I decided to split to contents between our tins, I got roughly £15 and DD got £8.:j There were so many coppers for her tin that we actually filled it up and I had to give her my spare for my £2 coins so now they are living in my china piggy bank.S.P.C member 1662 - target £3000 -
50p for me today. Have sold some bits on ebay which are being collected tomorrow so will have a nice healthy amount to put in tomorrow. Feel like my poor pot has been a bit neglected lately.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0
