  • I've chucked a whole load of coins into my jar, from my little coin bag in the car. I'm well on my way now :beer:
    C'mon you Canaries!!
  • Thank you for the birthday wishes.

I have had a great day. I have been extremely spoilt, so will decide tomorrow whether to make another deposit into my pot.

This is potting malarky is definitely addictive, i keep looking for ways to find money to pot.

Sparky - Sorry to hear the sad news.

Sue - Congratulations on your find. Some people are so careless. :j

    Hope everyone else is well.

£3.01 into my pot today - change from Aldi. :j
Walked 12.5 miles, with eyes constantly scanning the ground, and not a single penny in roadkill :(

I've been obsessed with winning my first roadkill since signing up, then 2 days ago I finally found 2 x 1 penny pieces! They were wedged in the crack of the pavement so I grabbed a nearby bit stick and dug them out. Totally forgot where I was, in the middle of the city surrounded by people walking to work. Drew some pretty funny looks I must say :o

:T Congrat's on the roadkill Joyce. Not managed to find any yet so must try harder!! Currently sat on the sofa next to DH and mentioned I had not done any potting today. Heard a "jingle" in his jeans pocket and flashed him an award winning smile and best ever puppy eyes - he has handed me £1.39. Amazing what makes me happy these days :rotfl:!! I am getting excited already about the "grand opening" later in the year.
  • DP just gave me £5.10p to add to our pot :T:j:money:

Well, I had a huge surprise today!

I've been doing a bit of blitzing as I'm hoping to get a car boot sale done in a few months, so popped into the cupboard where the boiler is - shifted a few things out the way and found an old large Dowe Egberts coffee jar full of 5ps, 2ps and 1ps. Spent about an hour counting it all up, and today I potted a grand sum of £12.79!! I am sooo chuffed with that.

Also, I finished off my last celebrations chocolate yesterday so I'm using that as my pot as it's huge! Will be adding all the money to it later, cutting a hole in the top and sealing it up!

I'm just catching up and while reading this I've just stuck my hand down the side of the sofa to check for change. When you've got 3 young kids, it's not very wise - let's just say the chocolate fudge with the chocolate sucked off is the least of my worries!! No coins either. :(

I went out at lunchtime searching for roadkill, I think it could get addictive.
  • little_sweetie, it's always good to have a senior, we love the young and the not quite so. ;) To put your number on your signature, go to "User CP" top left on the green bar, then click on "Edit Signature" and pop your Sealed Pot Challenge No there. Any queries little_sweetie, askaway
Thank you so much, Sue! I'm going to try to locate a properly sealed pot tomorrow to take away any tempation to keep peeking. This is quite exciting! Perhaps I lead a dull life...:rotfl:
