Hi
, can I join in please? Have read the first few pages so far and think this is a brilliant idea.
My small effort is to empty my purse every night and divide the money ie £1 for me, £1 for the whiskey bottle, 50p for me, 50p for the wb, 20p for me etc etc., and if there's a coin of any value left over it goes in the bottle. That way I have change in my purse yet am saving more than I have to spend, iyswim. This evening I put 307 pennies in the wb.
I think I'm going to start capturing my parking money too, as I now have a blue badge the parking fees will go into the wb as well.

Good Morning
£1.75 captured in ebay sales :T Disappeared into my paypal account but I know it's there under lock and key.
I also do the weekly spend challenge and set myself a target of spending no more than £5 on unorganised spends this week. I actually spent nothing all week :T so the £5 is going into a little savings pot to go towards emergencies. But to be fair, it won't be much of an emergency if it only costs me £5 :rotfl:
Anyway, I'm just glad it's now under lock and key instead of my purse looking for ways to escapeFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Ohhhhh and I forgot.
£10 ama$on voucher received from doing surveys
It might not be real cash but it's now in my ama$on account as a credit so it's definitely held captive waiting to be spent when I find something I can't live without£20 credit in there now :j

Bought a red jacket for £20 yesterday but it's not very well made, too tight in the sleeves to allow more than a thin blouse underneath. Browsed the cs's today, found the perfect Debenhams red jacket bnwt for £6.99, so took the first one back. Saved 1301 peniies today

OH came back this weekend from working away, though he's had to go back today - however, he left all his change on table last night so 8 pennies went into the change jar. Also got 222 pennies paid into my paypal account from one of my cashback sites so that's under lock and key as well.Every penny's a prisoner

I love this thread: sofa paid me 12 pennies to hoover underneath (I have to say housework was far more profitable when ex lived here: he leaked gold-100-penny coins into the furniture, however he'd leave the heating on full, the tvs blaring and all the lights on etc when he left the house for work after me, so it's all relative
).
