Finally managed to start getting out of the house thanks to a pesky flu, and yesterday took a couple of bus trips up around a new part of town Mr Merle & I are considering moving to (scoping out the area from the top deck was quite a fun exercise!). Found 5p on one bus, 1p on another - obviously that part of town is full of wealthy types keen to thrown their change away! :T Reckon that'll do quite nicely. :rotfl:a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0

Good Morning
Flis21 - I hope you managed to find your hamster. We had one that lived under the bath for three monthsthere was no way we were going to pull the bath panels off to find it so we had to wait til it came down the pipes again and to the huge pile of tempting food in the kitchen
No real pennies captured yesterday but I went to Maccy D's and to cut a long story short ended up with a meal and a full refundSo I suppose you could say those 1138 pennies are still locked away.

 to the hamster - I hope it emerges okay! Having had a series of hamsters over the years, including escapees, it seems the younger they were, the harder they were to capture as the older ones came when chirped at as they thought there was food for them!
You can get animal-friendly traps or a wide-necked jar with food in to try to lure the hammie, or borrow an opposite-sex hamster and see if that works.(Apparently it's good - never had to try it so far).
I've saved 184p on shopping, 5p on clubcard points and 1000p from my lesson being cancelled. :j:jMiggy
