I found 500 pennies on my hunt around the house today so took them all to the bank for safe keeping! I'll definitely be keeping a closer eye on the pennies from now on, as my dear Gramps would say "if you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves!"

Found 20 pennies on the floor at work. Did feel a bit guilty cos normally would have asked if it belonged to anyone but there wan't anyone to ask, so the guilt passed relatively quickly!!

And another penny rounded up today on the way back from work - is it irrational that I'm disappointed not to be going to work tomorrow as I know I won't find any pennies round the house as already too tight with them so my best bet is usually on the walk to work?

Mind, I have just been paid 7200 pennies from selling some stuff the other week, just got to bank the cheque on Monday, though it will barely have time to get settled in the bank account before being re-homed in the cc!

So pleased with myself - I spotted some stocking fillers being sold off which the boys will love and bought some for £4.50 - a massive saving of 2550 pennies! :D (Memo to self - when they aren't around I need to check they work: gifts not boys).

Then because I've been working I have been to the supermarkets at odd times and got some bargains: 650 pennies saved there.

I need to organise myself and use up some of the over-bought veg - may stick them in the slow cooker overnight to make soup which will not only save money but help my waistline too... AND save space. An invisible saving but real nonetheless.

Made soup last night using some veg we already had, then had this for lunch today instead of the fish & chips we usually have on Saturday (saving calories as well as money). I reckon that counts as a saving of 395 pennies. :)

Managed to make 5000 pennies yesterday selling nappies we no longer use (cloth ones LOL)

Found 9 pennies whilst decluttering earlier!

The actual copper jar is nearly full so will be cashing that in by the end of the month, can't wait to see what it holds! :)
