That forum does not say anything about the LG 42PC1RV , they are talking about the model which is HD Ready and has a Resolution of .1024

So its unfair to compare the 2 really

Actually - its a thread about all of the various LG models of that gen, including both HD and the EDTV version mentioned here.
  • Well the screen was delivered today, having been ordered yesterday - how good is that:T

Haven't set it up yet so I'll have a little fun this weekend. First impressions are that it looks fantastic.

    Really chuffed so far:D

    Parcelforce:D

The DHL option was only another £4 or so!!

I haven't dug all the bits out yet, but I presume that it does have a UK plug because that is the regs for sale of electricals in the UK.

However. I paid £552 inc. (DHL) delivery, so if I've got to buy a lead I ain't that bothered:beer:

Just looked - they've chucked in a continental plug adaptor to comply with UK regs

Hi. My first time in this forum. I'm seriously thinking of buying one of these TVs and am looking forward to hearing from you guinea pigs--sorry...brave people--who have already ordered one. ;)

I don't expect to get HD in the next 5 years (at least), so don't really need an HD ready TV. I just want a big TV at a budget price. But I want to be sure it gets the most out of the SD signal (Freeview and DVD). I've found some very favourable reviews on the net of the HD versions of this TV (42PC1R and 42PC1D), but nothing about the SD version.

Please post your first impressions as soon as you can.
