42" Plasma Televisions at Pixmania (merged)

I'm guessing it's a limited distribution model as only Pixmania seem to be selling it.

I got mine yesterday,THE MODEL I RECIEVED IS "LG 42PC3RA Plasma Screen" FOR £599 + POSTAGE = £614.
put it all together , looks excelent. But i have two issues with it.


1. cant programe sky remote with it
2. got a scrach mark next to the volume buttons on the body of the TV.


I tried calling sky and tried ALL the codes for LG tvs but not luck ( also model not listed in LG tv list )

with regrds to scrach call piximania , they said they need to get he TV picked up and get inspected ( which can take upto 15days) , after that they would be able to offer full refund or replacment tv ( no in stock till 20/03) , i have got 15days from delviery to decide if i would like to go that

Can any one advice me on both issues

To get the Sky clicker to work follow the procedure outlined below:

TO PROGRAM THE remote USING THE 4 DIGIT CODE:

1. Turn your TV on.

2. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

3. Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.

4. Press tv on your Sky remote control again.

5. Key in the four digit code for your brand of TV. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice. If the light blinks once only, recheck the code for your brand of TV and start again at Step 1.

6. Press the standby button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice (code stored). If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press the standby button. Repeat this (press tv, then standby) until your TV turns off, then press select (stores code).

Point 6 is the most important, I started off using the code: 0056 which did not work so followed point 6, it took about 6 tv then standbys but has worked. This is with a rev 8 sky remote and for the same TV as yours.

I do mean it when i say Thanks aloooot

However, i am very unlucky that this trick didnt worked for me.

I have the SKY KEYBOARD REMOTE ( OPEN FROM HALF LIKE LAPTOP ), and i did followed the instrustions 100% but no luck.

plz help if any one have any other ideas??

Older remotes before version 8 (see the version inside battery compartment) do not have newer tv codes,more codes are added for new tv's every time a revised version sky remote is released........my blue remote would not operate my new pixmania lg tv......but the new white remote does.......brian

Yes you need a ver 8 white remote for what i posted to work
