Yup - sounds like a faulty set, if you've tested it on HDMI and Scart on different sources?
Try to keep the panel upright when moving around etc, as if it had been laying flat for a length of time could affect it.0 -
Reading through this thread has everyones gone back or are there some that are happy with it. I am waiting until I return or perhaps now go for the hitachi 42 on Pixmania.
Can someone who srtill has the LG let me know there thoughts now, after having it a couple of weeks! Please.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

I'm very happy with mine still. Had it for over two weeks and very pleased. Ultimately, any tv can go belly up for any number of reasons. I know nothing about the Hitachi so you'll have to do some homework.
Have you reviewed the threads about the LG on the AV Forums? Some more pointers for you.
Ultimately you pays yer money....0 -
The picture quality was good but if anything goes wrong with it don't expect to much help from Pixmania ....only when i had to threaten legal action did they come and pick up the TV and fully refund me also.
I know for a fact i will never buy anything from this company again , but its just my experience ...maybe some people have had better ones.0 -
The Hitachi 42PD6600 HD Ready plasma on Pixmania has had its fair share of problems TBH.
Its assembled in Turkey and has known problems with bad quality soldering etc on its chips causing PQ problems.0 -
any more info or reviews on this tv?
cheers0 -
AV Forums is the best site to visit. A lot of reviews of the various models incl the HD Ready sets, (which this isn't btw), but they all share common panels and electronics.

Heard from Pixmania today.
They are charging me £29 for the time I had this TV that's after they had already told me it would cost me nothing.
I have complained as I think that is way over the top. See where we go from here.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I ordered one of these TVs, but after sleeping on it I changed my mind and cancelled my order the next morning before the TV was dispatched. Pixmania accepted my cancellation and refunded my money, except that the refund was £3 less than the original payment. Now, I don't begrudge paying £3 for having wasted some of their admin time, but I don't think other companies would have charged for that, and I believe that under the distance selling regulations they are obliged to refund the full amount. Seems like another case of Pixmania trying it on.0

This TV is not HD and should not be used for playing games on.0
