Thanks plz. Been tough this is the first christmas without my dad. Not so tough for me as for my younger brother and sister, especially as my sister lost a baby only just over a month ago. I am waiting to ring them as they are in the UK and I am not.

Anyway off to tuck into xmas dinner. One of the advantages of being on the other side of the world!

    Merry Christmas everyone

  • Happy Christmas to one and all!
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
  • Happy Christmas one and all!

Have had a lovely phone call from my daughter in NZ so that has made Christmas for me. :j:j She only had 5 minutes left on her calling card and I couldn't get through to call her back, so she's going to buy another card tomorrow and call again, bonus :D. Her parcel from me had arrived and she was happy with the nonsense I'd sent :p. I'm one happy Mum!

Two dear friends who are together in Melbourne for Christmas have just skyped me all the way through their Christmas meal, so I've had virtual champagne and food with them and lots of love and laughs lol. Was supposed to be "we three" in the flesh but this was the next best thing and very enjoyable.

Plans for the rest of the day - I'm going to walk round the two beautiful lochs at the local university campus and admire the resident swans. Back for my duck breast, red cabbage etc when I feel like it, and a read of some of the books I've been given - I'm one happy book nut. And plenty cuppas Earl Grey tea to hand!

Wishing everyone a peaceful and contented Christmas, sending my love and best wishes to all Matrix friends xox
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Yay the shouts of "he's been!" only started at 6.30am - ds had told everyone he would be up at 2.15am so we were all grateful for the lie-in. Pressies unwrapped - no need to buy any toiletries this year for me and a lovely cake stand to put lovely cakes on.

Troops fed fry-up brunch and dh off to work soon :( rest of us off to Nan's for more pressies, food and good company :)
