I am back from work trip. Haven't been able to keep up with the thread as the wifi in the hotel was rubbish (and I was pretty pooped in the evenings anyway).

Now one whole week of hols. :j So after the festives on Sunday I am determined to start a big sort out. Starting with my finances. I have been doing the "head in the sand" act for too many months now. That is then going to follow with project MOOD (Magnificent Obsession Of Decluttering) until the next exam round when focus need shifting.

Anybody willing to do a quick summary of what has been going on? Pretty please

Having Christmas lunch today at my sister's - they are elsewhere tomorrow. Had a nice time this morning wrapping the last of the presents, including the cassis I made a few weeks ago. I took some to my friends last night, who were thrilled as they had made jam with some of the blackcurrants from the same bushes in my garden - had a very heavy crop this year.

On my way home I'm dropping in yet more cassis and some post which has accumulated here, to my ex-lodger whose village lies between here and my sister's house.

Nice to see you Sunflower, and I hope you have a good Christmas too.

I expect to be around online tomorrow inbetween unwrapping presents, reading books and chilling out! To anyone else not expecting to be online between now and then, have a lovely day.

Hello Matrix... MG, I decided to cook after all.

I woke up this morning with some energy, so went into the kitchen and got cooking. I have made cranberry and orange muffins, mince pies, sausage rolls, cranberry and walnut brownies, chicken liver pate, smoked salmon mousse and chocolate brandy pots. We have also entertained hubby's sister and brother in law along with his Mum and Step Dad. Unfortunately, I hadn't managed to clean the house at all... but never mind... i don't think they noticed. I have a plan for cooking tomorrow... and now I am just cooking dinner before leaping into the shower and getting dressed up ready for our trip to Midnight Mass.

Oh, and I have also watched, for the first time, "It's a Wonderful Life". Sniffle. What a great film!

So, with that in mind, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and I hope all our guardian angels keep us safe!
