  • I am so "pokemonned" out from DS2 that I may just have to resort to doing the ironing.

He has just announced that he "must be a good boy" for the matrix to give him a present of "big boy cards" - Vanda you have made a little chappie soooo happy:mad: (from DS2 I don't think he gets that its an emoticon just that it's red, sorry!!!)

Off to freeze some more turkey stock - all in muffin tray so that I can have soup galore in January Mmmmmm

I am so pleased he loves them. Both of your boys are very deserving recipients.

When is his birthday ? I can send him some more then.

    Lol at the emoticon!

Morning all - my new years resolution is to post more on this thread instead of just lurking. I know it is not NY yet but why not start now?!

Had a nice Christmas day with some of my family and a chilled out Boxing day, just at home with my daughter. It gave us a chance to look at the presents we got before tidying them away. I cannot tell you how spoilt I was by my daughter. Amongst the many presents was a table carved out of one piece of wood into an elephant with a top on, just beautiful. I want to put it somewhere pride of place where it can be admired (by me!).

I am enjoying not being at work and just getting up when I want to and then pottering about. Ironing is next on the agenda! You can see why I don't usually post, because my life isn't interesting, just mundane.

Hello all. After two days of rest OH has decided to install the kitchen sink we bought on the way back from the concert.

Removed the BeLfast sink and the brick support it was standing on which we though would cause problems just sort of fell apart:rotfl:

Been to the DIY store to buy pipes and stuff very early to avoid the sales crowds but OH has now decided he needs more bits so he has gone back so I have popped on here for a bit (can't face the crowds)

Hope you are all having a good day

what a lovely surprise hun, and how generous of someone. :)

Enjoy the chicken, and remember to keep the carcass for soup and stock.

Brilliant news hidden - didn't we tell you things would start getting better real soon:j

I am pondering a stock-take ( no mean feat as after being left in a similar situation to you a couple of years back I have built up a serious stock cupboard)

Parentals left me with loads of lovely cheese - so I'm thinking of cutting an freezing the blue cheeses etc into "cooking portions" - you know, enough to flavour a quiche, cheese sauce etc, and grating the parmesan and pecorino in to "risotto"sized portions.

If a "portion" of cheese is 40g then I have enough for about 40 portions - which is one cheesy meal a week for a long time:T

I could still be enjoying this Christmas whilst planning for next:rotfl:
