I don't believe you're grumpy... And there aren't many people who like the idea of noisy toddlers! Letting him wander round stopped him being noisy (he liked the singing) and means he hopefully won't think of church as a boring place, but somewhere exciting... He was transfixed by the readings and went all the way up to the altar rail to see what the vicar and churchwarden were up to! It's a small church, so no family service or children's activities... The vicar has grandchildren of a similar age, and most of the congregation are bright enough to realise that if you don't welcome children, young families won't go, and then there won't be many new church members. Anyway, after that success, he'll be going to church near home from now on when his parents are up to it! The baby was pretty good too once she went to sleep!
Sadly the dog isn't at all well - she's probably got cancer and has gone downhill a lot recently. She's very blind and deaf and a bit confused and shockingly for a Labrador, off her food. So we've been hand feeding her turkey and some of the salmon I picked up on christmas eve - a 10lb salmon for under £10(I don't normally go into the supermarket at silly times like that, but as I was there, we had it for supper on christmas eve!).
Have a lovely boxing day recovering from over-indulgence and enjoying your presents, family and friends.0 -
Sorry to hear about the dog, Greenbee. My cousins have had a succession of Labs and they are lovely dogs.
Towels on line blowing in the breeze.
For some reason I seem to be in a tidying up mood. Sort of clearing the decks ready for action.0 -
Another one in a tidying mood - invited out for tea so happily pootling about until we leave mid-afternoon. Sorting out the usual Boxing Day brunch, playing with things and putting things away. Even fancy a bit of ironing with some fab music.
Have a good relaxing day to one and all,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Afternoon, we had a lovely day yesterday. Today's plans have got bottom-up though as OH is a very poorly bear and I'm about two days behind so have dosed up and we're having a lazy day with plenty of hot tea.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

We have also entertained hubby's sister and brother in law along with his Mum and Step Dad. Unfortunately, I hadn't managed to clean the house at all... but never mind... i don't think they noticed. I have a plan for cooking tomorrow... and now I am just cooking dinner before leaping into the shower and getting dressed up ready for our trip to Midnight Mass.
SOME energy?
All I did yesterday was to do the washing up after BF had cooked our xmas lunch (= stuffed everything in the diswasher and turned it on).
Have a great boxing day (what is left of it) everyone!! I need to go and pack as we are setting residence for one night at BF's mum. BF and DD have been called to do some sheep feeding tomorrow and also we need to look after potential MIL's dog for the night."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Another one tidying up now the parentals and their doggie have gone home.
7 meals worth of turkey frozen. and two pots of turkey stock to follow. Lots of risotto in my near future LOL
Enough sweeties to keep the kids until Easter at least - DS1 is in "mega creative" mode - but DS2 has resorted to a bubble bath and a cuddle instead (all the excitement was just a bit too much).
Happy Holidays ladies - esp to the poorlies

Am in shock as I ended up doing Christmas dinner today for our litle family and in-laws and dh's brother - we had it today cos dh was working yesterday. Started peeling carrots and parsnips and spuds and thought what the hell and carried on and did the whole thing much to dh's amazement. And to my own amazement it was (excuse language) but bl**dy fantastic:eek::T:T:T:T:T
So am now curled up on sofa looking very smugMortgage £119,533 going down slowly
