Great new Horace :) enjoy your weekend preparing.

Soup in the SC again. Sow hasn't settled so need to go to the farm shop then do outdoor stuff this afternoon. I need to start chocolate making tonight too (it has been delayed) so need to work out what I'm going to make before I start, so I don't go overboard as then it becomes a chore.

    Good afternoon

    All go here :)

DH is gutting the house :) stairs and landing cleaned, dining table now a table not a dumping ground :) floors washed. 1 load of washing on rads another in machine.

Xmas cake in the oven, combined effort between ds2 and myself., so the house is starting to look fab and smell lovely, still got mince pies to make so that will be sundays job now.

No snow here just very very cold at the moment, we have blue skies and sun at the moment :)

Photographer has phoned - to say he is running late - pants!!! does he not understand that I have two sparkling clean boys in a sparkling clean house .................. it's just tempting fate isn't it?? I predict a Ribena tsunami or something any second:eek::eek:

But the Christmas clean is done - into every corner. Menu and shopping list done over lunch - brilliantly though I seem to be cooking stuff we already have in the freezer so quite a cheap holiday I think.

Mum is buying the turkey crown and her best friend some salmon - I already have some duck for crispy duck in the freezer ................. so despite the three days of frantic cleaning I do believe that we are ready for the holiday to begin.

Will be back online as soon as the photographer chappie has been and then our weekend can officially begin.

One last straighten up it is then

Photo guy has just gone - not that he has been taking photos all this time though - he has been fed pizza and copious amounts of coffee (with HM bread and jam for afters) Well I felt it would be rather cruel to cook pizza and not offer him any.

He is going to send me some pictures of me and the boys - that would be lovely as we don't have many of the three of us (mostly just two boys as I am holding he camera)

    Now the weekend can begin

PS Yes hon he was cute LOL

Glad you had fun MG ... Now don't forget about those recipes!

CBA to do anything tonight, so soup and a DVD and an earlyish night. Then hopefully an early morning to get some more baking done.

I have finished bubble wrapping the spare room window and also done the downstairs loo.

Charity shop bag is tagged and sitting in the hall, and I am working hard to fill it! I think I'll try to keep one there permanently to put things into as I identify stuff that is surplus to requirements.

Good luck with the interview Horace - hope it goes well. Would be great to get the job just before the New Year :j
  • Pants........ I'm posting right now just to get the Matrix back where it should be (on the 1st page). Are we losing momentum, and where are all the regs that used to pop in like Essex Hebriddean, Psychopathbabble, Crafty Scholar, Squiz. Miss them all and the upbeat postings. But new people's posts are avidly read too. I'd post more but have nothing more to offer at the moment tthan my boring daily stuff. and I dont have the eloquence to express it and make it worth reading.
  • Truth time now - I think that the Matrix has taken turns that a lot of people cannot deal with. And there was talk before about using equity blah blah,
I wish I owned a house to use the equity from.
Some of us, well me, are in the rental bracket, and dont have equity to make more income from. So where does that leave me and the rest of the 'little' people.?
That kind of talk especially from you MG was frightening to some of us 'little people'. We dont all own property, I know for a fact that this kind of post has made members back off from the Matrix. Not everyone is in this position. Equitywise. So where do us @lilliputians' go from here?
