It's very quiet in here this evening, must all be out partying!

I had my last day at the school today - got a lovely bunch of flowers (had two last week from line manager too) and some wine, so stuck that in the Christmas pile as it's a bit dry for me so that'll do for a token for someone who's feeding us. We are doing six stops through Christmas/Boxing day!

Thats a new definition of "meals on wheels" :D

I am still up to my eyeballs in cleaning - BUT ................ operation Christmas decoration has been achieved at MFin3 Mission control. Just normal kitchen and bathroom clean to do before the photographers arrive.

15 minute challenge - are you sure you have enugh batteries to last he holidays? Check your box and stock up to prevent tantrums ( I need to find three sets of rechargables)

Groatie - that sounds like a magical day.I find that when I am open to watching the coincidences then life just flies, for me its like taking the handbrake off.

    Back soon

My second bedroom is still empty apart from the bookcase, and the study is full of boxes but getting less fuller :D by the time the work is finished and the spare room back in commission I may not have anything to put in it... I certainly don't have any furniture for it :p

Good morning peeps - we have flakes of snow here but nothing has landed yet:j I am feeling incredibly positive today - yesterday I was mooching on the jobcentreplus website and spotted a job as a Conference Sales Co-ordinator at a local conference centre...I can get there on the bus or walk although it will take about an hour as it is all up hill. I emailed my CV and written application over to them yesterday and they emailed back last night (email seen this morning) inviting me for interview today or Monday. I have agreed Monday with them because I have to sign on this afternoon and I cannot miss that. I would really love this job because the company has great ethics and believes in supporting it's employees. Fingers crossed I will be able to shine - must remember to put make up on and wear something smart.

    Loving the sychronicity Groatie.

Teapot - I am glad the funeral went well and was full of laughter.

Tonight I am off out for a dinner with cabaret artist as entertainment so it will be melon to start, turkey & trimmings followed by christmas pud (don't normally eat christmas pud but the golf club make a lovely one - I had it last year so I know).

Nearly boobed last night - nearly substituted toothpaste for underarm hair removal cream but thankfully I realised just in time because the tube was fatter than the toothpaste one:eek:
  • Mustn't laugh, mustn't laugh... sorry Horace.. but.... mwuahahah! Good job you didn't get it wrong, but hahahahah!

And best luck for Monday. Go girl, it's about time eh :) x
  • Wow, Horace, to the toothpaste/hair remover mix-up! Great news about Monday, sending massive Matrix vibes for you hon.

Well done MG, hope all goes well today with the photographers and you can be rightly proud of all your achievements, not least getting so much done to such a tight timescale this week.

It's a domestic day for me today, putting tlc into the house. It's cold here, but no snow. The heating is ON. At least until I work up a sweat with the cleaning!
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
